OU having all those 10.0 vaults, even when one is off, another one comes in for a big score

LSU should be doing the same next year...

Jenny Rowland, yikes... If you can’t win Nationals with that roster, you’re the problem

LSU is as good as any team out there on vault and floor but watching beam and bars from some of these teams, you can see the difference in the polish in some of these routines (not withstanding Florida's falls but thats bad coaching on Jenny's part to leave Payton out there)

I’ve always said Jenny is an underachiever! I can’t believe all these elites keep choosing her.

Also it looked like Payton didn’t even want to be out there. Poor girl!

She threw her hands up after that routine at the coaches

The judging on floor is absurd yesterday and today. If you land every pass, its an automatic 9.9+

I think they are also kinda high on bars. Or they were for ok. Hopefully they will be for Michigan too because that is who I’m rooting for.

I'm surprised still OU is even this good this year despite the major losses of talent and heavily relying on walk on's. Helluva coaching job by Kindler. This is probably her least talented team in years.

Michigan looks like the hottest team right now. They are lights out

Agreed. Michigan is doing the same difficulty as LSU but their execution is far superior.

Michigan ends on beam and OU goes to floor where the scores have been flying all weekend. Only down just a little over a .10

Michigan seems to be getting hit harder on beam than OU for their checks

Michigan wins, that is being mentally tough!

Our coaches should be taking notes from those teams

Abby H for Michigan was so composed during the last routine knowing it was going to come down to it.

What changed for Bev? She has been there forever. It’s truly incredible what she assembled, and they were so clean, so composed, so confident. Everything it takes to win. Did she get a new assistant lately?

Will point out: Michigan won on beam counting a 9.7625. Next year we’ve gotta have easier bar dismounts, cleaner execution on floor passes (if the difficulty stays), and 6 10.0 vaults if we want to win this thing.

Talent wins. Michigan has recruited well over the years. And they’re doing a better job of developing their gymnasts.

Kinda glad (although still sad) LSU did not make it through to this session. They clearly would have finished fourth.

We got to develop better on bars and beam. Bars, too many short final handstands, incorrect technique on the pirouette on low bar, and dismount issues. Beam, I feel they have to address the mental aspect of competing outside the routine construction. Way to shaky and jittery across the board. The worrisome thing to me is some kids got worse as the season went on beam. Alyona went the opposite direction compered to her first few outings. Bryant was the same way although she came up clutch went it counted yesterday.

When vault and floor are consistently going over a 49.500 on their events, they aren't the problem. Although LSU shouldn't be content with 2 fulls in the vault lineup, we could be squeezing out an extra .100 by adding more 10.0 vaults.

“Maile'ana Kanewa-Hermelyn finished her first season as an assistant coach for the Michigan women's gymnastics team. She was hired on July 1, 2019 after spending the 2018-19 season as a volunteer assistant and then interim assistant coach.”

They did get a new assistant, but I think it’s more likely that it’s just the top JO talent they have recruited. Even so, I’ve never seen Michigan composed and confident before like they were in this post season. You could look at them and tell they knew how good they were.

Another thing I would like to point out that even on one of LSU’s better events of floor, they still had some small things that were taken here and there that I didn’t see from other teams this weekend.

It basically comes down to this.. LSU does not execute cleanly. The other top teams too.

Also, Utah’s beam coach... I could not say enough good things about the difference she has made for them

The crazy thing is.....Michigan is not really losing anyone. Farley is the only senior who has gotten made the lineups in her career. Crazy to think, with the addition of Vore, they shouldn’t miss a beat next year.

Also, Florida’s beam lineup of Lazarri, Thomas, Hurd, McCusker, Wong, and Blakely...shoot me now.

Something is wrong at Florida. They have been a disaster up and down the lineup during the post season. With that said, Blakely is putting up insane scores for JO. Her scores say she is going to dominate NCAA gymnastics next year.

Jenny Rowland is what’s wrong. How do you have basically an entire roster of former national team members and have only won one SEC Championship in 6 years, and nothing else?
