That’s great about Selena but most of the gymternet feels she’s headed to Utah.

Do you know if LSU is recruiting Skye Blakely? I know Sloane is committed to Florida but I’ve heard nothing about Skye. She’s a great AA gymnast.

They also said Annie Beard was an OU lock and had silently committed to them

I would think given her location and Utah connections, Utah is most logical at this time. Although Jay is recruiting her hard so we will wait and see.

Not at this time, not that I am aware.

So much for Barros, she commits to UCLA

The rich get richer

Bizarre to sport LSU gear at four on the floor, then turn around and commit to UCLA.

In other news, rumor has it Abi Walker is no longer attending Georgia. And Yoculan posted on social media that she is moving into a "new role" lol

Have they named a coach at UCLA?

I’m so bummed. I really like Sydney. But I find it weird that she committed without even knowing who the coach will be. But LSU has a great future either way.

There was a lot of chatter for a while that they were looking to promote one of the long time assistants, Waller was the name mentioned a lot. He has been there for almost 2 decades and is the associate HC, he is also a UCLA Alum.

My guess is these recruits already have been told who the new HC is. They wouldn't be getting commits without them already in the know.

Is Abi’s back any better? I know she’s had a lot of trouble the past 2 years with back problems.

Heard her training is pretty limited. She can't do a lot of skills in particular for that reason. She has struggled at JO this season.

Kim posted her doing bars this week though

Was it Abi's choice not to go to Georgia or did they drop her scholarship because of injury?

I see people are posting on twitter that Yoculan may be going to UCLA?! Is that a joke or has anyone heard there may be any truth behind it?

Been thinking a lot about this season, and I really think we learned some important lessons.

Everyone knows we started this season slow. Jay himself said that we were 2-3 weeks behind schedule in the very late pre-season. But looking at LSU's scores towards the end of the season, I can't help but think that we finally managed to peak one hell of a lot closer to when we needed to.

We got 2nd with an LSU team that doesn't include Ashleigh Gnat, Sydney Ewing, and Myia Hambrick. I'm completely in love with this 2019 team, but I wouldn't argue they were the 15 strongest girls we've had in recent years.

Does this change things with regard to how the girls train in preseason, how we make sure we peak at the right time, and how we manage injuries to get the best 24 routines on the floor at 2020 nationals? Basically, should we expect another rough early regular season next year without being too worried? And how will our incoming freshman fit into this new picture?

Yes the start of the season was pretty rough, but to be honest if I had known we'd end up second and have the incredible post-season that we did have, I wouldn't have complained as much. Tigers pulled through, and I think they have so so much to be proud of.

From your mouth to God's ears...

The Las Vegas clubs have been very, very good for Utah Gymnastics, but while they are in the mix for Harris, I am don't think Ute fans feel like it is anything like "a lock" that she signs with the Red Rocks.

It should be noted many 2022 and 2023 commits all suddenly made a commitment before the new recruiting rules went into effect yesterday. Now you have to be a junior before contact is made. Many were afraid of losing out on a spot or scholarship!

Good news for this sport. With the amount of injuries it can be difficult for everyone to predict where athletes are in 5 years!

I’m sure her pitch is something like come to Florida where you can eat what you want, and don’t have to condition. Just come have a good ole time getting by on your elite talent alone.

That's a very good question! I have to wonder if she is judging nationals this year. She has a front seat look at the girls competing in the National Championships. She usually judges bars.

I have always felt since she took the UF job that this was a serious conflict of interest
