I prefer a full in if the gymnast doesn't have issues with it because it is easier to cover a bad landing. If you land slightly short on an arabian it is pretty obvious and the judges will take the deduction. But some gymnast are really good at those forward landing so it all depends.

Hearing we are looking at a couple international elites (GBR and Canada)
Posted on 9/28/18 at 1:58 pm to Tigerbait357
That's interesting.Have you heard which athletes?

GBR sends some of their international elites to CGA and I know our coaches were watching closes on some of the elites who came in, I'll have to ask
I mean thats how Jay got to get in touch and watch Ruby Harold up close in person without going over seas.
Thought I heard Lucy Stanhope and Georgia Mae-Fenton. Both are around 17-18 years old right now.
I am pretty sure they had GBR athletes at GAGE recently
I really like Georgia a lot and she actually follows around LSU. A lot of their girls do because of Ruby though already

Not sure what some of y’all heard but with Val stepping down after next season, some of UCLAs future commits are keeping their options open....

It will be interesting to see how this goes.....

I really doubt many UCLA commits will change their mind, especially if Chris becomes head coach as most suspect. I think their options are open just in case they make a bad hire but really very little should be changing. Val doesn't even do the coaching, anyway.

OMG, after watching videos of her, I'm obsessed with Georgia-Mae too! She has a tackle box of Elite skills (could that statement be anymore gymnastics meets the south?!?). Can you imagine how beautiful and technically perfect she could be in college with a Level 10 routine? Just wow!

Biggest concern with some of these international elites from other countries is that they focus so much on the difficulty instead of the execution but Georgia does have wonderful technique and makes everything look easy.
She has a nice look to her gymnastics.
I think its safe to say Riley McCusker and Morgan Hurd will not be going to Florida until after 2020 at the latest. Going pro can taking big sums of endorsements remains a high probability at this time. Based on some of their recent moves, it seems like they are making plans for it to happen.

Beam routine
Simone Biles vault

I couldn't believe what I saw when Simone did her vault. I was sure it was a Mustafina because I had no clue she was even training a new vault. Add in the fact that she made it look way too easy to be something never before competed. Unreal.

She is taking the process slow but she is being heavily recruited and in contact with programs such as UCLA, LSU, Florida, Utah, and OU. She has visited LSU multiple times and enjoyed it.
Florida is throwing the house at Leanne Wong right now. That seems to be Florida's main target for the 2021 class.
Alexis Jeffrey has been looking at LSU and Alabama mainly. UCLA and a few other programs have gained much more interest over the last year through her progression as an elite.
Jay has a great relationship with Eakers parents though.
