I'm sure the coaches are smart enough to remind recruits that we have plenty of holes (especially on D)....and that they can help fill them. Remember, all these defensive coaches are new, so they can legitimately say that their predecessors left the cupboard bare in terms of depth and talent. This is Kelly's 3rd year, but I think of it as year 1 for the D.

Remember… next year we will have another 20+ scholarships available as the scholarship limit of 85 increases.
The last Defensive staff was rightly fired.. look at what they did in recruiting…. that’s defense you see in 2024.
Look at what the NEW Defensive staff has done with 1 year of recruiting ( 2025 class).
Just need to get through this season with respectable team and season !!
Then It Begins !!!!!!

Yall can keep them purple shades on. He came here for talent and a paycheck. Thought talent increase alone could win it, not the case. Kelly is Les 2.0. Last year was an anomaly.

Well …
I actually wanted Kiffin for LSU ….
but the LSU Athletic Director wasnt going to gamble and a young controversial coach ….he wanted an older mature coach who wouldn’t cause PR headaches.
I STILL think Kiffin has the highest ceiling and when he takes the Florida job this year after Napier is fired … he’ll THEN have his teams to take stabs at the National Title!!!
Ole Miss is a joke … but good enough this year to get him the Florida job.

Or they wanted a CEO type coach who provided stability and wouldn’t bolt. With a proven track record of winning. Lane Kiffin hasn’t won a goddamn thing.
He has failed upward nearly his entire career.

When he gets to Florida…. We’ll see what he can build .
If he was offered the LSU job… the only job he would have left for was Alabama… but as it turned out .. Alabama had no interest in him for same reason Woodward had no interest.
Again… let’s see what he does with Florida in Gainesville. Recruiting top offensive talent won’t be a problem for him.

I find you Kiffin fan boys the most hilarious of all our fans. You are all over BK about the defense and yet Kiffin has never had a team with a defense worth a damn. I just don’t get the fan boy love you people have for him. You always try to say “but what he’s done at Ole Miss, blah blah blah”. What EXACTLY has he done at Ole Miss that’s been so astonishing to you people? He hasn’t won anything there. Hes won some rent a win games (because they absolutely refuse to schedule any real OOC opponents), he’s had the luxury of playing Vandy every year, (that should be 4 wins guaranteed every year with the rent a win games and Vandy), their rival MS State has been atrocious the last 3 years. Whats his claim to fame? Barely beating us last year? Did we forget the arse whipping we have them the year before? It’s not like he’s never been given the chance at a college that couldn’t be competitive. In fact, he’s had 2 chances and failed at both of them.

Because they know he’s just a one trick pony and can’t actually run a successful program.
He’s abysmal at recruiting.
I’d take him as my OC in a heartbeat but I don’t want him as my head coach. Sorry, he just “ain’t that guy”.

Les is statistically our best coach ever. Kelly still ranks behind Orgeron.
All things equal, before the game passed him by, I'd take the Les we had his first 6-7 seasons over Kelly in a heartbeat. Not even a debate in my mind. He made excellent hires, recruited at a very high level, always had a good defense(save the co DC fiasco)and his kids played their arse off for him. Never a question of our teams physicality or toughness. Dominated early season showcase games and arguably is Sabans most competitive opposing coach. Eventually Bama got stronger as Les regressed and the separation became clear. We were as close to being a consistent elite program during those years as we've ever been as a program. Yet we treat him like a leper. Crazy
