All that is true, but it still doesn’t confirm if BK can recruit elite
The fact that Kelly has recruited elite players confirms it. Womack, Howard, Wiggins, Stamps, Jackson, Toviano, Yates, Brown, Sampson, PERKINS, WINGO, ARE or will all be elite college football players barring injury.

You don’t fire the guy, you place him somewhere else and go hire a big time recruiter with a name and pay the man. Everyone and their mom would understand the move. We can’t just sit back and hope for the best. When he gets back on his feet, offer him another position or let him go somewhere else.
It’s no one’s fault and LSU is just as a victim as he is. This happens to be one of the more important positions of a team and also happens to be a bare cupboard. We don’t have much of a choice right now. Especially if no one knows when he will be able to return. What if it’s another year before he can actually handle his role? We supposed to just shut down that position while he recovers bc it wouldn’t be a good look? Frick that! Go get one of the best damn coaches in the business and let’s get this thing rolling. The longer we wait the further we fall behind 2024, 25, and 26.

The guy is under a contract as our d line coach. I am not going to claim to be a sports attorney but something tells me his contract would have something against "moving him" to a different position without his consent or approval. Also, what top d line coach is leaving his team less than halfway through the season? Coaching circles are small and that would probably damage the incoming coach's reputation as well. Again, what you're saying sounds good in theory but in reality it's likely not as simple as people are trying to spin it here.

Never said that. That's a completely different scenario than what I was commenting on. I honestly have no clue what would happen if he wasn't recovered and back to 100% by the end of this season. I am sure some conversations will be had if it gets to that point, but as it stands now, for legal reasons and optics, I don't see any coaching changes being made at that position until at least the season is over, unless Lindsey himself says he wants out.

Recruiting does not feel quite the same as it used to. Maybe it's the Katrina effect the past 2 or 3 years.

Contacts are built to protect both parties so I agree, they is absolutely something in the contract that protects him but there is also something in that contract to protect LSU. I never said you do this behind the man’s back. You can’t do that but you can go talk to him and let him know that LSU will pay him his money and take care of him medically but we have to move forward as well, even if temporary, we need to make some type of splash.
There are teams out there that will fire their HC and staff during the season. I’m just saying we need to be moving in that direction and having these conversations with potential coaches that are available and interested. While also having it with the current coach. Make him the pass rush specialist or look into the rules to find a loop hole we can exploit for now. Go find a big name from the NFL at least. I think the current assistant coach is doing fine for the teams growth this season actually but I’m not a HS recruit and I’m old enough to know things these kids don’t know and don’t care to know. They see what’s trending and we need to change our trend in some way.
I also never said it was easy. It’s possible though and we need to be exploring all possibilities at this point. Stop worrying about “look” and be smart not stagnant, or give the “look” as though we are not doing a darn thing but waiting. Give the recruits and parents something to look forward to and help LSU compete on the recruiting trail. That’s it.

When the teams below us add more recruits, LSU will be lucky to be in the top 15.

Truth about recruiting today is the portal has changed everything. Didn't sign enough WR's? go to the portal and so on and so on. All the whining and moaning here about missing out on defensive tackles will be answered with a portal player.
Yes we can still get excited about National Signing Day but it means a whole lot less now.
