Home stretch, we're getting a little sloppy, everyone.
Just a few more rounds!
JC77 said to skip him, so Cecil is on the clock.

Writing up my picks now...

With the 18th round pick, OBUDan selects:
Ben Weaver, LB, Boise State
I've been eying Weaver for several rounds now. I nearly picked another guy over him here, but after a lengthy consultation with jembeurt, I've opted to stick with the guy I've liked all along. I'm running a Cover 2, and for that you need a MLB that can cover. Michael Rose was my top choice, but Pasty snagged him. I feel like Weaver is a great consolation prize. My primary concern is that he doesn't have great timed speed, and you can see it on tape, as well. Fortunately, Weaver is pretty aware of that, and he takes really good angles.
The reason I love him so much is he just a smart, sound football player. He trusts his eyes, and diagnoses things very quickly. He's a good wrap-up tackler with some good pop to his blows. He's fluid in coverage. He's not afraid to take on blockers and does a great job disengaging. He plays against good competition, as well. He doesn't have elite sideline-to-sideline speed, and that worries me, but Boise has done a great job developing players the last few years. Depth chart isn't too favorable either, so hopefully he can rise up. Finally, Weaver is a lifelong A&M fan and they did not offer him until after Sumlin was hired. He stuck to his guns and stayed pledged to Boise. I like that.
With the 19th round pick, OBUDan selects:
Jeremy Sprinkle, TE, Arkansas
I initially didn't intend to select a TE, but I think it's useful to nab one. Sprinkle is a kid I found late last night. Big (6'6), athletic kid, that can really run. He played the odd combo of WR and DE in HS.
Random tangent: When I first got back into football in HS, I decided to go out for the team as a Sophomore. Not knowing my arse from a whole in the ground, I signed up to be a WR and DE (thinking I was picking DB). I was a dumb arse. I was also shortly moved to OL/DE, and never really did much of anything, since I weighed 165 pounds and was terrible.
Back on subject, really like how Sprinkle runs. He's starting at TE, but Petrino said he could play WR, and even DE. On tape, his DE reel isn't overly impressive. He looks like a natural offensive player. Pretty soft set of hands. Reminds me a bit of DeAngelo Peterson in that he's a little too big and slow for WR, but a little too small for TE (at this point). Has plenty of room to grow, though. My main concern is that Arkansas is also high on their other TE commitment for this class, and that kid could play immediately, which could affect Sprinkle's chances to get on the field.
Still, Petrino has quite the eye for talent and develops guys up as well. Hopefully Sprinkle will be one of them.

Sorry, but...
That is some funny shite right there man.
ETA: Not to be a dick, but why did jc77 get to make his 19th selection before Cecil's 19th selection? Esp when jc77 selected 2 guards and all Cecil has left to select is his Oline.

Yeah not sure why Jc77 got to pick twice or why Mikethetiger owes 2 picks and not one

It's my fault, because I put jc77 2x on there, because I thought he may not be on till much later. If Cecil wanted the 2nd guy he selected, then I'll make him re-pick.

I'll take Isaiah Battle, oline Clemson. Will update when I get done with work.

The jc77 was a mix up. Mike has two picks because he never got his 18th round pick in. So, when his 19th pick came up, Dan just skipped him again. In fact, his last two attempts at picking his 18th pick was unsuccessful.
At this point, Hand should be up and Dolemite is on deck, with Mike having to pick two picks.

Everything should be accurate now.
