Most of Verlander's picks have been from that area of the field. I'm not saying they are bad by any means, but I would guess he has the most players that are not ranked in any sites top 200-300 than any team.
I guess its just his style if drafting. I was actually targeting all three of his receivers. Thing is, I probably would have only selected one, maybe two, of those players at this point of the draft. I always look for "hidden" players first, mainly because the great players are easy to scout. However, if it becomes apparant that a higher ranked player in that position is falling, then I check to see who has better film, early pt chances, etc.
Kudos to him finding these guys and sticking to his board though.

I guess, but Destiny wasn't scouted by ESPN and 24/7 doesn't even have a profile for him. I read some boards and some WSU fans are excited about him, but I can't remember the last defensive player that did anything under Leach. Just wondering why he found him so enticing.
I like learning about some of these lesser known recruits though. Also, it appears that WSU is going to start hitting the Samoa pipeline hard.

Dominic Ramacher, TE Ok. St.
He can play fullback also. They play a lot of freshmen and haven't signed a good TE in the last 3 years.

Im not sure where you want to put DePietro, so I will just place him at the tackle spot.
Let me know where you were thinking about placing him.

This sort of seems out of left field. Do you know something about this guy that nobody else does?
Was a kid who apparently blew up his senior year and picked up offers late from half the Pac 12. I also like his highlights LINK which are of him at TE but I still love how physical he is.

Ill take the other Justin Thomas CB Utah
He was my favorite remaining CB by far. I thought he had some of the best coverage films of all. Nice grab. I was hoping to nab him next.

I sent JC a text, so hopefully he can pop in here soon. His schedule may conflict though, not sure.

Damn, JC. I was actually giving pause to take this kid over who I had originally planned.

As did I. I realized he was still on the board and was going to take him over my intended WR.

With my 16th round selection, I will take Devin Funchess, TE Michigan:
Highlights, which I thought were very impressive.
Good in the open field, will go up high to get the ball. Watch the tape. Has a shot to get some playing time with Michigan only having two returning TE's on the depth chart next year. Look to see Funchess used as a receiving TE primarily, or until he can get his weight up and start to block well.
