I think it is so silly to criticize someone's pick. This draft is the ultimate crap shoot. No one knows who is actually going to be good or bad...no one is going to know if someone will even make the grades in the classroom.
Come on did you even read my post? Of course the draft is a crap shoot, I just didn't like the odds of picking a QB who was a last minute recruit when its likely that Rich Rod will sign a guy who he'll put all his effort in to this year, that is all.

Cool. Thanks.
Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State
I didn't see him on the draft sheet from last year.
Spent last season at Fork Union. I have a rule: when in doubt, draft the athletic freak. Tall, athletic quarterback that can keep plays alive with his feet. Not really a runner. Has pretty good arm with some zip on his passes but can apply touch when needed. Makes good reads and decisions, but he's not particularly accurate. Interesting to see what happens with Meyer as coach.

Ok I'll take Clayton Stadnik, C South Carolina. He's not as good as his brother but maybe he'll play, who knows. That's about the most roaring endorsement I can give a center.

I could have sworn he was taken last year. If not, its a good pick this late. I think he will do better for Meyer than he would have for the sweatervest.

Ill take Mac Long C Houston

4 MORE PICKS
Dan, refresh my memory. Do we reorder for the supp pick or do we keep going in the same order. I just don't remember.

I almost took my pick in the 8th/9th round, so I'm happy he's still around.

Cecil wants Ricky Wyatt, LB, Central Arkansas

With my 22nd round pick, OBUDan selects:
Adam Butler, OG, Vanderbilt
I'm mean!
Really, he is. I love this kid. Think he's severely underrated, just like every pick I've ever made ever. Really nice frame (6'4, 285ish), and he really moves well for a big guy. Likes to put guys in the dirt. Pulls and traps well. Plays in a unique spread style in HS, so will need to adjust to the three-point stance. Herb Hand is a really good OL coach, so I think Butler will blossom under his watch. Played some center in the Offense-Defense bowl. But I have him at guard. Had a pretty decent offer list, but committed to Vandy in October and never looked back. Honorable mention to Rivals All-Camp team. Picked up a couple of OL MVPs at Nike camps. Overall, severely underrated IMO.
Vanderbilt had a really good class.
With my first Supplemental pick, OBUDan selects:
Tommy Armstrong, QB, Nebraska
Really, really happy this kid fell. I love him. Maybe love him more than Fuller. May not have that upside, but just as a player right now, I love him. Good size at 6'2, 210. Nice, tight throwing motion, good mechanics. Arm strength is good, not great. But he really has a touch and feel for the passing game, which I like. Some mobility, but he's not a running QB. A lot of people thought he may have excelled his junior year because he played next to super stud RB Malcolm Brown, so all Tommy did was come back and do better, throwing for 600 more yards, 10 more TDs, raising his completion percentage by 8 percent, and while he was at it, doubled his rushing yardage for shits and giggles.
I'm really interested why so many passed on him in this draft. He's only highly ranked on Scout. I guess some are concerned he could be the next Jamal Turner and immediately move to WR at Nebraska, but his throwing upside is so much higher than Turner's ever was. At the offense-defense bowl they said he was impressive throwing the ball all week.
Watch the tape, tell me what you think. I'm loving it.

Ricky Wyatt?
I've got the Defensive players filled out already.
I wanted Ben Still OG, Ole Miss, if he was still on the board.

I got him down for you.
You want Still as your 1st Supplemental pick?
It can be any position, etc.

You sure that Wyatt isnt for someone else? I didn't have him on my big board.
I finished filling my defense out back in round 17, so I was only taking offensive linemen til we reached the supplemental rounds.
I wanted to go Josh Brown DT from Clemson with the first supp pick.
