Do I think Reed is a rare find? no
Was he widely identified as one of the top prospects in Louisiana last year? yes
Same with Greg this year? yes

Machiavellian is making terrible arguments, contradicting himself, passing off his opinion as fact, and talking down the OOS players we've signed, but other than that, nothing is really going on here.
that's your opinion

Everyone that has the slightest clue knows our recruiting is fine. Your retarded and outlandish opinion doesn't change that fact.

We do know that McKnight would have been a Tiger under Saban but who else?
And once again, we had so much depth at RB that a future NFL player would have been on the bench. Just look at Keiland's situation under Miles.

Who left the fricking gate open on the rant??
Yeah, Reed went to Auburn and LSU lost out on him.
I guess you give no credit to Miles for landing Kadron Boone from OOS who got more playing time than Trovon in his freshman year behind a stacked line of WR's before him.
I didn't read this entire thread, but from the looks of the other thread and different posters replies, this Machi cat is throwing around idioitism all over the place.

You're right. We shouldn't play with Joeseph Barksdale, Kelvin Sheppard, Patrick Peterson, Minter, Mo Claiborne, Craid Loston, Stevan Ridley, etc., etc.
Now GTFO jackass!

jdg91whatever and anyone else that has actually had negative things to say about Les Miles and his recruiting abilities when compared to Saban. Here is something for you to look at and stop just saying things without doing ANY research AT ALL. Either you or someone else wanted to know how many people on our starting offense/defense were even from Louisiana - 13. Only 9 are from other states (Steven Ridley, Terrance Tolliver, Russell Shephard, Joseph Barksdale, Alex Hurst, Kendrick Adams, Sam Montgomery for a while, Kelvin Sheppard, PP). You wanted to know how many starters we had from Louisiana when we won it all, I have looked and am unable to find the starting lineup for 2003, in 2007, we had 12 guys from Louisiana and 10 from out of state. So again, had you done a little bit of research, you would have found that we didn't win in 2007 because of just Louisiana recruits, but actually a good mixture of both. Since 2003, that is as far back as I can go, here is how LSU has done with getting the top 15 guys to go to LSU:
2003 - 10/15, didn't get the number 1 recruit.
2004 - 10/15, got the top 10.
2005 - 6/15, didn't get number 3 overall recruit.
2006 - 12/15, got the top 10.
2007 - 9-15, didn't get number 1 recruit.
2008 - 14/15, didn't get number 13.
2009 - 10/15, didn't get number 2 recruit.
2010 - 12/15, didn't get number 8 recruit.
So here is a little recap for those not able to read - in Saban's best year, he only got 10/15. In miles best year, he got 14/15. He has gotten better than that 3 out of 6 times. So after looking at FACTS, I really don't see how you can say that Saban was better at recruiting Louisiana than Miles. Also, Miles worst year was when he was replacing Saban and had to start later than he normally would have. Again, please do a little bit of research before coming on this board and talking nonsense. That is for the Rant.
