I (personally) don't know b/c i haven't 'personally' worked the formula but i do know that people on the Bama boards knew exactly what each school would end up with before Rivals ever posted their rankings.
They knew b/c they already had everyones info punched in on spreadsheets so it wasn't much effort.
By them knowing and agreeing exactly what Lsu/Bama/Usc final numbers were going to be if certain recruits flipped and signed, Im siding with a miscalculation by a couple of other people and then a bunch just regurgitating the numbers as their own

I'd encourage more of you to contact florio@collegefootballtalk.com or florio@profootballtalk.com, as well as maybe Stewart Mandel at cnnsi.com. If there's something there, it needs to be put out there. At least Rivals needs to explain its calculations, otherwise their results are suspect and all of their future results are questionable.

Multiple people have done it and came up with the same results. I don't think we are the one's with the error unless there is a hidden variable.

i find this funny how Bama gets boosted mysteriously into the #1 rank on rivals. I guess thats wat 1 million dollars from saban can buy so he can atleast be a national champion at something with bama.
