re: Recruiting conspiracy????

Sent email to deadspin and everydayshouldbesaturday, with link to rankings and spreadsheet. At the very least, Rivals should be transparent with its calculations and show how they got their final numbers....

The ones who would eat this up might be ESPN and Scout, their direct competition. Also Sports2 might be interested, and maybe the Advocate and Times-Pic....

I'd encourage more of you to contact florio@collegefootballtalk.com or florio@profootballtalk.com, as well as maybe Stewart Mandel at cnnsi.com. If there's something there, it needs to be put out there. At least Rivals needs to explain its calculations, otherwise their results are suspect and all of...

I emailed the spreadsheet to them. Waiting on their response.
I also emailed the guy who runs profootballtalk.com and collegefootballtalk.com about it. Hope they run with it....
Stoops...He is the biggest douchbag in college football.
 I was saying that throughout the game last night. He is a total douche. Nobody whines or pouts like Stoops.
Stoops runs up the score on teams during the season, every year, gets cocky, and then gets owned in the BC...

re: 30-yr mortgage interest rates
Posted by RSO on 12/23/08 at 2:58 pm
So Nate, you don't see the rates coming back down into 4.5-4.75 range in January? I keep reading that some mortgage-backed securities will be bought by the government to keep the rates in that range, and that lenders are not passing along the savings that they should be to borrowers....

Those rates suck, comparatively speaking. The best rates are around 4.75% right now....

Where do you mortgage pros see the rates going in the next few weeks? They are hovering in the high 4s right now....
re: How far down will mortgage rates get?

Never mind - got the number. Rates ticked back up a bit. The 4.5% at Baudier is now 4.75% (0% origination), and the 4.35% at Hancock now has a 1.625% origination....

What are your total fees? Looking at 4.35 with 1% orig.
I'm thinking 0% origination is better....
