I know most are sick of points and class rankings. And does it really matter????

Anyway there appears to be an error in the final calculation of Alabama's class at 2,786 points. The error in favor of Bama is sufficient to vault them to Rivals #1 class.

Using the Rivals formula, I arrived at 2,746 points for Bama's final class. This would put them second behind LSU which sits at 2,762 points. Another poster on the mainboard came to the same exact conclusion.

Somehow Bama got 40 points added to their score outside of the Rivals formula to help them repeat as the #1 class.

If this is intentional. . .wow.

Apparently Skike and the TB crew have tried to get Nationals to correct thier math, but they won't.

Important to note that this is from secondary sources. I quit rivals 2 years ago.

this could be more embarassing than moving that fatass to Center just to bump Bama rankings a year or two ago

i think determining who is #1 based on total points is silly anyway. I think the average star rating is much more important to the success of a program....not signing about 30 guys every year.

I would love it if they had to reverse it. Have they commented in anyway on what they are going to do?

Yes, they claim that the computer did the math. They haven't answered any questions about what the values were in the computer formula.

I emailed the spreadsheet to them. Waiting on their response.

I also emailed the guy who runs profootballtalk.com and collegefootballtalk.com about it. Hope they run with it.
