Gotcha! That we would be a big plus. I know you can’t mention a name and probably not a position. Could you say offense or defense?

As of right now, Ish and Rodney will not be a part of our class. Christian Williams will be in this class, there is no slight possibility.

I feel like Cassandra here, but does no one else see the looming crisis at safety?
I do, especially at free safety. I've been saying for a while now that we're sneaky thin there. Would have been really nice if we had held on to Sterns in last cycle. Of course, last year it did seem like we were in good shape at safety.
Delpit's gone after this year
Stevens looks like he's going to settle in at linebacker or more of a hybrid type role
Eric Monroe was totally mia this year. Coming into the season I expected him to eventually bump Battle for the starting spot. I never actually heard what his deal was. Injury? Frank Herron style suspension?
Toddy Harris came along nicely towards the end of the year, but he's already going to be a junior and is still a bit of a question mark.
Cam Lewis might never be more than a special teams contributor.
Brooks seems like he's going to be an outstanding strong safety prospect.
Lee seems like he's more built for that Stevens role.
My hope is that some of our corners step up and Joseph can move back to safety and that Hampton ends up making it to campus.

Do you have something you would like to share with the class?

A quality Offensive tackle prospect is a definite need in this class. Any news on Parker, heard he is a qualifier? At this point, I'd say a 4 star OT tackle is at least as important as a 4 star DT (and his brother).

How strong is your information that Ish and Rod will not be in the class. I am hearing that we have the inside lane for now.

Well, I kinda just did.

It’s an LSU source getting some of their info from a key person within the bama Athletic Dept. It’s definitely a solid source. He told me about Phillips flipping to us a month before it was even mentioned as a possibility on TD. He’s well connected.

Who do you think we close with?
Posted on 1/17/19 at 2:15 pm to TigerMak
I would be ok with the Sopshers not being a part of it myself, but Young would be a must part of the class if that is the case.
Young
Lee
Parker
Hampton
Williams

If we lost the Sopshers and gained Young and Pickering I think the RB would be ecstatic. With the Bama staff in a bit of disarray I think we have a chance to turn up the heat on these two.

Shopshers are not coming- Rodney will not qualify at any D1 college- not happening - it’s all smoke and mirrors.
LSU Would be better to forget those two otherwise trouble could be in LSUs future.
Not saying anymore.
If you don’t believe this info then wait till February and we will see what pans out-

I was told that Williams and Parker are in. Ish gave a verbal to bama with the understanding that they bring Rodney in as a part of next year’s class (won’t happen). Lee will probably be a part of our class but he’s slow played us in the hopes that bama will have a spot for him. Pickens will be in if his grades come through but that’s not likely. There’s still some open spots that are up for grabs. Didn’t discuss Hampton. One of Young or Pickering he said is already tied in pretty heavily with Miss St.

From everything I have seen and heard here’s what I’m looking at.
Locks:
Lee
Parker
Hampton
Maybe’s:
Sopsher brothers
Young
Moore
Doubtful:
Pickering - he’s pretty locked in to M$U

Thanks Tiger Mak. Appears you have a good source that is probably better than mine.

I hope you are right tigermak..

Just to be clear, I’m saying Ish will be a part of bama’s class, not ours.
Posted on 1/17/19 at 3:20 pm to TigerMak
Yea I gotcha, i would rather him go to bama than us take a two for one. If he wants in, fine, but a two for one is ridiculous and i can’t believe our staff is playing into this 18 year old kids bull shite

Moore is very impressionable right now. He went on a trip to Florida and made them his leader supposedly. If we land that last official visit I could see us swinging him last minute

I agree with you 100%. I said exactly what you did and was told that it’s just as much about “perception”.
