Do yall contribute to the Bayou Traditions NIL opportunity?

Is there any accountability for how the donated money is spent? Like to which athlete the money goes or to see how much is lost to operational costs or just bloat.

Would you be more inclined to give at smaller values? Think like one time payment of $10's.

Would you be more inclined to give if your donation came with voting power for which player receives the money?

Would you be more inclined to give if there was wide open transparency on how much money came in and how it was used?

I wonder if a transparent, grassroots NIL opportunity would get traction

No thanks. I’d rather spend my money on my family. I buy tickets and merchandise. That’s plenty.

No. If I was rich rich, sure.

If I win one of those billion dollar powerballs, I’ll have a suite at LSU and watching the best players my money can buy.

Yeah, I get it for sure. My thought was centered around the lack of transparency from Bayou Traditions and TAF. I'm sure they do great with the money but is it public how they spend the money or what their salaries are?

Plus the smallest amount to give to Bayou Traditions is $100's. I'm like you and say: no thanks, I give plenty.

But what about $10s that comes with voting power for where the money ultimately goes. Let the people decide which kid they want. Ol' Bernie Sanders raised a bunch of money through little $25 donations. Just thinking that this could be similar. What's $10s? It's like two cups of coffee.

But the question is would people actually donate

I personally have no qualms with how anyone else chooses to spend their money it's not my business.
My personal opinion on NIL collectives is this, these universities have made billions off of the athletes and fans alike and when firing season comes always find the millions to buy out contracts. Some powerhouses even funded 100,000s of dollars worth of under the table deals prior to NIL including us. Why suddenly do they need more money from the public to compete? Seems like a grift to me. Like an around the way method of wealth redistribution. Nothing involving the education system is beyond malfeasance and the complete lack of any type of organization/checks and balances with NIL makes me very, very skeptical where the money is actually distributed. That's just me. Others less skeptical may have good points to make about it. Im open to being convinced.

The amounts of money needed for players across the board now (including backups) is night and day different than the previous under the table transactions

The numbers that I know about are mind boggling. But what are the choices? If that is what it costs, that’s what it costs.

Has zero to do with whether any of us agree with it philosophically.

For $100 I can buy a Tiger shirt for myself, my wife, and my kids.

I'm totally with you. That's too much for me to throw into the abyss.

But what about 10 bucks with transparency and participation with where it goes?
