So the fact that the 2 qbs at this school prior to this one had good high school careers but weren't college material means that their current qb won't be college material. Interesting.
So I guess this means we shouldn't ever sign a kid if the guy at his high school that played the same position before him wasn't a college player.
If Quin gets as tall as his dad and continues to develop, I hope he gets a shot to play college ball, even though he is doomed based on the high school players that he is following.

Sol was a highly recruited QB out of High School.

Grandfather, White Graves, was also a LSU DB in the early to mid 60s. Returned a punt against Kentucky for 100 yards. Played pro ball for the then Boston Patriots and the Cincy Bengals.

I played football with Sol Graves at OCS. He was awesome. We went from being a nothing school to making the playoffs under him and a running back named John Spann, and lineman who went to Arkansas named Mike Sheperd. If his son is anyting like him, he is worth a look.

Graves backed up Tommy Hodson for three years. His senior season he was on a terrible team that was looking to the future and had two talented freshman(Loup and Daigle). Due to timing and circumstances he never really had a chance to play at LSU.
However, I have a few friends on those Hodson teams from what I remember Graves was well liked as a person and respected as a player.

Sol Graves is a hell of a guy. Orthopedic surgeon now I believe...he was nothing but class even in high school. I'm sure his son is the same way. Sol never got a real shot at LSU. LSU would be stupid not to look at him. I'm sure Quinn is a smart athletic kid, and OCS has a good football program. At least this kid will know how to act as a leader...

I believe his grandfather White Graves played for LSU in the 60's. Was a very active alumni leader in Monroe, La. in the 80's. Always let us know what LSU needed each year from the Legislature. Was a doctor or dentist I believe.

i heard that the great-great-great grandfather once took out an entire nest of nazis with nothing more than a dagger and a stick of gum. if that isn't impressive enough, just be aware that the stick of gum was juicy fruit.
...so you know this 7th grader has got greatness in his genes and we should all spend some serious time talking about him like he's a thoroughbred race horse.
