I seem to recall Luther Davis switching his commit to Alabama.

That was after he was told to GTFO.

Paul Turner should get an LSU offer without further consideration. He is an athlete we must have, and WM is our most loyal school. If he can improve his passing, I say sign him as a QB.

Love WM and there coaches for being so pro-LSU, but to start bashing on JT Curtis is just wrong. Any kid besides Joe McKnight that LSU ever offered out of Curtis has come to LSU. Jarod Carter, Carnell Stewert, Jerry Seven, Jason Spadoni, Vernon Russell and Chris Jackson were all LSU signees from Curtis.

Can you tell me one guy besides J. McKnight in the last ten years who was from Curtis that LSU offered a scholly and turned LSU down?

Turner's 2009 highlight is pretty sweet.

Turner will project as a very good college safety acording to what I hear and what Shows said in a recent article. QBs have a history of transitioning very well as safeties and I could see that being the case here for LSU

The anti-JT Curtis. Gotta love the man.

I mentioned this story once before, but for those who missed it...

I was at West Monroe before one of their practices. Jordan walked out for practice and Shows was standing there talking to me. When Jordan walked by us, Shows said laughing "Nebraska and Alabama called today. But I told them don't bother, he's goin to LSU."
This was last spring, long before Jordan committed.

Jordan just laughed, shook his head and kept walking. Shows looked at me and said "at least he'd better be goin to LSU!"

Your list of names combined talent<<<<< Joe McKnight. CJ contributed, Stewart contributed, the rest might as well have gone to SLU. Curtis wants LSU to take his marginal kids and when he had a once in a lifetime prospect, he went out of his way to help him leave Louisiana, and played LSU for a fool at the same time.

I really hope that we refuse to recruit that school and that LSU's public snub of them ends up adversely affecting his his little kingdom.

I'm sure Mullen feels right at home when Don Shows greets his silly arse wearing his puple and gold LSU duds. Shows is the anti-John Curtis. LSU should erect a statue of Shows on the parade grounds.

God, I hope Auburn doesn't ever recruit any WM kids.

They would try to have Shows arrested or at least hang him in efffigy while rolling Tummer's crack!

And I hate Curtis, but I hate tiny-dicked, petty LSU fans worse. Much worse. You're fricking embarrassing.

JT, Petey and JM play us for a fool, and we are supposed to smile and take it? Really?

Contrast what happened with Lorio and Reed this year. Lorio did everything he could, Reed made his choice, stated his reasons, heard us out and stuck to his guns. All handled by the coach/school and the kid very above board, and therefore not nearly the anomosity towards Reed that there was for JM. Karma is a bitch, and JT deserves some for the way he conducted himself with McKnight. He seems to love $abin, so let the Gumps give his kids one of their 35 offers every year.

All Im saying that IF a West Monroe player is good and DOESNT get and offer from LSU, then its good for Mullen and Mississippi State to be able to pick these kids up. I am from Mississippi and I know of West Monroe for their success and consider them the top HS football program in the State of Louisiana.

ETA: From the interview I just read about Turner, LSU nor many other schools are even sending him letters while Mississippi State is talking to him and are close to offereing him a scholarship.

I remember a day not too long ago when West Monroe was an also ran in high school in the Monroe area, much less the state. I also remember laughing at Don Shows in the hallway at WM when he 1st arrived in Feb. 1989. He asked how tall I was and said 6'4" and he then asked why I was walking the halls and not heading for football practice...I just laughed, but that was the mentality at WMHS back then. There was only something like 35 players on varsity in 1989 and 6 signed with d-1 schools.

Saw Montrell Connor play. Hope LSU does not regret offering him. Hard runner and harder to tackle.
