offered more QB scholarships in the 2010 class, because they knew Z Lee could go baseball instead, etc.

You are so right. I don't understand why Miles didn't recruit 2 QBs last year. Also, Miles has not recruited 2 QBs in one year anytime in his 6 years at LSU. Every few years you need to recruit 2 QBs, knowing that the weak one will transfer.

you are right, or if you get real lucky, you get a kid like Matt Flynn, who backs-up the other guy, but is competitive and fights and works hard, and starts his 5th year and leads the offense/team to a pretty good year. Sign two or even three...look at all the schools who do this...red shirt at least one, etc.

JJ might not be bad if he had a redshirt year and could play in his 5th year. They burned his redshirt year.

I'm a supporter of JJ, but he has had time to develop. The problem is that it seems like JJ isn't the QB that Les thought that he was. Is he athletic? Yes. But he just doesn't seem to get it. It seems like before that he was always looking for a big play. Now it seems like he's trying to think to hard.

They need a transfer as they have no FR, Redshirt FR, or SO QB on scholie. Usually JR College is not the answer because there is a reason they are there ( not smart ).
We often see LSU players transferring to DIV 1 AA schools why not recruit a proven Division 1 AA quarterback?

His second QB commits always went elsewhere. Darron Thomas and DC Jefferson didnt want to compete in 2008

Yeah it is easy to say just sign 2 quarterbacks, but for the most part QBs have egos and telling a 17-18 year old kid come be 1 of 3-5 QBs is not all that appealing.

Most schools have several freshman QB's on their roster right now, with multiple big name guys. Look at TX and TN and some LA in-state schools. Some kids will avoid competition, like Robert Land did at LSU. But others thrive on it, like Flynn. Of course, competition makes everybody better and you want three guys who can play. Connor Wood signed with TX (or is it Connor Shaw...I get them mixed-up)even though McCoy's little bro was also signing and Gilbert, etc was already there. I think Connor would have been a good one for LSU too in 2010 class. Also, LSU recruited no one from LA in 2010 class, which I don't understand.

I say fight to sign a drop-back passer, a dual-threat guy and an athlete or two who were QB's in high school, EVERY YEAR.
