Ben is a perfect example. What he whines about now has no affect whatsoever on his development in college.
Except he wasn't a 5 star qb and only had one offer out of high school.

Well, ask yourself the question how many QBs have good to great freshman years as starters vs after sitting a year (or two) or in year 2?
Unless in a great situation, Fr QBs struggle.
Somebody's going to say Fromm. He was in a great situation, Chubb and Michel as RBs, A Sr 1st Rd draft pick (Pats) at LT in Wynn. Here's the biggest factors: a Sr excellent TE in Blazevich, and X/Y WRs in Wims and Godwin were Sr and Jrs.
And don't say Eason before him, his numbers actually sucked. And that just might prove my point. Maybe.
So there are exceptions, but many QBs need a year skills wise, physical wise, mentally, and for chemistry for the team.
The wise one's realize that. Yes, they want to play. But they know they're not ready for it all. Worth noting that Brennan stated as much.

The ones that dont want to play immediately, and therefore look for a situation where they arent going to be thrown out there as true freshmen, still shouldnt be going somewhere with a talented freshman QB. They should be looking at places with sophomores and juniors. Because a talented freshman has the potential to keep them on the bench a year or two after they are ready and even into their junior/draft eligible season.
If these guys have no visions of coming out early, then its a non issue.

That QB from NC that went to the Bears, didn’t he get his one shot his final year of college and get drafted in the first round? I could be wrong but he waited his turn and still maxed out money wise.

How do we know he couldn't have come out his junior year as a first round stud? Again, multi million dollar question that cant be answered because he was stuck behind an upperclassman.

Why would a 5* QB risk joining a team that already has one or more young big-time QBs in front of him (Fields to Georgia) (Tua to Bama) when he could go elsewhere and be the man sooner if not immediately? Seems like they are risking multi millions if they don't win the job and have nothing to show by draft eligible age. Looks like its going to work out for Tua, but why risk it?
Most 5* want to do two things: Win and make it to the NFL. Competition breeds excellence, and that's why they don't run away from other talented players.

If you arent afraid of competition and everyone has a chance to play, why transfer after one year? The spring should create new competition each year.

Because they beleive they’re good enough to beat out the current starter and sometimes do (Trevor Lawrence benching a Kelly Bryant or Tua benching Hurts, who won a NC)
