Kid is a great pickup with every opportunity to succeed at LSU.
More than likely he redshirts his freshman year, sits behind Mett his rs fr year and then battles for the starting spot with Rivers his rs so year.
I have my doubts that JR is going to cut it at QB for us and it is really going to be a two horse race after Mett leaves.

Rivers will have significantly more time in the program than Rettig. The job is Rivers to lose.

His redshirt year will be Metts senior year, Rivers and Randall will be redshirt sophs
His redshirt freshmen year, Mett will be gone, Rivers and Randall will be redshirt juniors

Good point -- sorry for the timeline mishap. Even proves the point further why River will be the starter that year.
