Gunnells the guy if we push like he's the guy.
Our depth chart shouldn't scare anyone. Neither kid has proven a thing. We've had highly rated qbs in our miserable era and none panned out. I'm talking full development by us so not putting Mett in that group. Since qbs tend to commit fairly early we can get our guy in before one if them blows up, if one does.

I also agree with taking 2 if need be. I wish the best for foster, but i think taking him in this class would be a waste

Why would LSU not want this kid? He will have 2 years of eligibility left. P. Simms thinks the kid can make the NFL, and he is as good as some back-up NFL QBs right now. I like the guys on roster, but you have to try to get this kid at least to give competition to the other 2 QBs.

What do you know about this? Are you close to him? From everything I've read, he's looking around and not sure and A&M at all. Seems like LSU and Arkansas are both squarely in the mix.

Also possible his brother gets the boot with a new coaching staff. At big time schools the 20 or so walk on spots have tons of competition. I would hope not but its a cutthroat business.

As for the Thomson kid, at least try. We have space. Problem that may come up is the same as the much discussed kicker. The article says hes a walk on so that would likely mean that wherever he goes would have to count him as an initial counter. We can't do that.

Understood, but the guy said look at the depth chart and I was simply saying what’s wrong with it? I would always love more added depth. I’m just saying that statement wasn’t very accurate.

Completely agree, just what the hell does LSU have to lose signing a guy thats played 3 years and has NFL size and arm strength if nothing more than competition/depth.....with the way O hauled in Jiles (sp), Fehoko, and Moss I believe he will find SOME way to add to the QB depth chart at least by Summer because if McMillan doesn't win the job, he's out. We can't have only 2 QBs (preferred walk on left out)
