The way Saban's been recruiting obviously Bama is loaded but losing a 3 year starter at QB is different than replacing a bunch of starters on D with guys that still got a good amount of playing time. Having Cooper and Yeldon and Co will certainly make it easier on whoever the next QB is.

Ok so now we are talking Bama, I was wondering how this turned into a 10 page thread..

you could try reading the previous page

Yeah looks like a Bama guy was tired about talking about LSU recruiting and started talking about Bama depth.

Even earlier he posted his prediction for Bama's class, which to my surprise does not include Cam Robinson. He gets a lot of flack for flaming and being a Bama homer, but usually he's pretty reasonable and does have good info.

I didn't mean to single you out man. But I just find it funny we let him post that in this thread and run with it. He is a pretty good poster on this board though.

So how is Bama looking?
I been worried about them all year.

I hear they are losing Saban, which would be a pretty big blow IMO.

I've also wondered if he would want to take another crack at the NFL since he was viewed as a "failure" there and if guys like Harbaugh and Carroll doing so well hits his ego? What f he wins a 3rd straight title and say Jerry Jones comes calling, that might be hard to turn down especially if it comes with $10M/year?
1st thing I will say is he does seem extremely comfortable in the last 2 or 3 seasons with his situation in Tuscaloosa, but he's also built a dynasty, something he does respect and wouldn't leave just to prove he can coach in the NFL again
I don't think he'd take the Cowboys job...some reason I don't think he could work for Jerry
The only 2 NFL gigs I would be truly worried about him taking would be either Belichick steps down & Kraft comes calling or if the Giants job comes open. He learned a very important lesson with the Dolphins that changed his perception especially of the NFL I'm sure which was you have ta have a legit game changer at QB, both those franchises provide that right away.

Those are possible, but wasn't his gripe with the Dolphins that he didn't have total organizational control? I don't know that he can really get the level of control he wants at an NFL job - and especially not in Dallas, so I'm with you there.
Plus I don't think Belichick retires until Brady does, so there could be some long dark years coming up for the Pats

I think this Aaron Hernandez thing might've taken some years off his career
ETA: The Pats are in rebuilding mode however it's never gonna be too bad with Brady

oh I know, I was just giving my take on it. After the first couple of pages a lot of threads dirft in different directions, as long as its civil and good discussion I think its great.

I do agree with that. But how comfortable will it be if say, he doesn't win 3 of next 4 titles? The last 2 years Bama did lose games in Nov and needed help to get back in the BCS CG. That's not to say they weren't a great team, clearly they were 1 of the top teams both seasons, but would it be as comfortable if say Ok St and Oregon make a FG? With the playoff coming it does give more margin for error and a 1 loss SEC team that doesn't win the SEC will be in great position to make the playoff every year and a 1 loss SEC Champ would be in 99.99% of the time. But playing 2 top 4 teams bakc to back is not the same as Saban having 5 weeks to prepare for 1 team. i do think Bama playing A&M a week after LSU was the main reason they lost to the Aggies.
I disagree that he'd take over the BB. He could never do better than BB and Brady is 36 years old, his time is short. I do agree he realized he needs an elite QB (prolly should have take Aaron Rogers over Ronnie Brown

Back to the topic at hand:
QB: Harris
RB: Fournette
RB: SP
WR: Dupre
WR: Noil
WR: Quinn
WR: Upchurch
TE: Washington
OL: Brumfield
OL: Clapp
OL: Robinson
DL: Clark
DL: Godchaux
DL: McDowell
DL: Willis
LB: Alexander
LB: Garrett
DB: Battle
DB: Brown
DB: Jones
DB: Paris
DB: Ramierez
Ath: Chark
Ath: Voorhies
1 of Gage/Young/Kicker
I do agree with those saying kicker could be moved to grayshirt, especially if someone emerges this season. Robinson and Brown are the biggest concerns imo.
