ESPN Scouting report on Miller:
Miller is a really athletic, physical prospect as an offensive tackle that will likely end up on the right side at the next level. At this stage Miller shows great feet, a tenacious demeanor and is a terrific finisher, but he is very slight of frame right now. The upside is that coaches will envision him three years down the road and 35-40 pounds heavier which is what is so exciting about him. Is very tall, possesses ideal measurables in terms of height and long arms. He is an explosive, finisher in the run game and more raw as a pass protector. Is very conscious of pad level and shows very good leg drive despite lacking sand in the pants. Is a very productive run blocker that comes out of his stance quickly with power. Unloads on the defensive lineman and immediately puts pressure on the defender with his body weight making it tough for the opponent to get off the block. Uses his hands in locking up the defender and can be violent with his initial punch. Possesses very good feet and gives great effort downfield to pick up an extra block and is very fluid when pulling and trapping; excellent mobility for such a big offensive lineman. Can be fun to watch in space because he has range, can change directions and adjust to moving targets very well. Plays with a mean streak and will push the envelope whistle on each snap. Pass protection is solid, but footwork and technique is inconsistent. His height can cause him problems because he is so light and does not have a powerful base. Can be a waist bender and lunge which is why pad level is so crucial for him in pass protection. Needs to kick back a little deeper on drop back, but does a good job of controlling he pass rusher and keeping proper inside relationship between defender and quarterback. He can win on athleticism at this level. Miller is a guy that really needs to work in a college weight program. Has huge upside because he is naturally strong so adding bulk and significant weight could project him to being a high end BCS performer. Good prospect with his best football in front of him.
P.s. Good pickup and Your welcome.

You know the most impressive thing that I have read about this kid is that Les Miles and company think he is going to be good enough to be a tiger. They have an eye for talent. Love it!

damn LSU's line is gonna be sick for the next few years. I would hate to be opposing teams D-Lines for that period.

I love how recruiting has gotten back more towards leaner lineman. Much more desirable to add quality weight than to take off Momma's cookin'.

Agreed. Miller's a big pickup. He reminds me of a Joe Staley type.
As for getting back to your point, I wonder how much of recruiting longer, leaner O-linemen has to do with being a concerted effort by the staff or simply the fact that football factories are producing better and better athletes due to D-1 style lifting and conditioning. Maybe a bit of both?
