Wudtree just got offered by Okie State. If he's good enough for them, then why not us?

I like Wudtee alot. I liked his film from last year. I would think the reason we haven't offered is he isn't too warm with our coaching. His coach had some harsh words for how we handled Harris' freshman season and I would assume he would steer Wudtee far away from us.

But, I think Wudtee should have been offered long ago. He looks SEC ready as far as his build and weight. He has a cannon and not too many mechanical things to clean up. Nice touch on his deep passes. He works from under center a little bit. And hea can escape pressure and makes good decisions in duress.

I was under the impression that these were two separate people.

I've followed a lot of the kids in North Louisiana and he's pretty good. What did his Coach do/say?

The coach was pushing Brandon to transfer after he sat behind Jennings most of 2014. He was public about it and the Times-Picayune or the Advocate did a story on it.

With the way the Parkway coach dogged LSU coaches in the media, I'd say it's a slim chance he'd even want to come here.

On that note, I still say what I said before Harris committed. He needed 2 years to learn at LSU before he would become the starter. He was extremely raw and thin, but had the measurables, (4.6 speed, laser arm, height 6'2.5-6'3) which is why he was rated so high. Top players redshirt all the time though.

UGA redshirted 5 star Aaron Murray while Cox and Gray completed 55% of their passes for 24 TDs and 17 ints.

Jameis Winston was redshirted at Florida State. Of course they at least had EJ Manuel, but he was allowed to just sit out and focus completely on his craft.

Losing Rettig and Rivers really stung because I was hoping that both of them would have given Harris some cushion to mature. Rettig the most because his bro did pretty decent over at BC and I thought he could have been ready to contribute this year (his would be 3rd year).

LSU gets these rawer-than-most QB prospects, and are almost forced to start them 1-2 years too early. This offense, despite how it looks in play calling, is not an easy offense to learn.

Anyway, my post was mostly off topic of the OP, but it seemed like a good place to put it.

I saw Wudtee and Scott play against each other in the state semis at Zachary. Wudtee is the better physical specimen for recruiting but he was pretty raw in the game despite throwing for over 3100 yds this year. When Parkway got pushed at the end they fell apart. His accuracy went to pot. I am sure he can be coached up - he is only a HS kid right now. Heck, I thought he was 6'5".

And now the 247 crystal balls have shifted that way. Not that it means a whole lot, many of those guys jump on rumors & trends right away to play the points game
