Les has never used a small back at LSU.

didn't LSU recruit and sign a small back named Gore a few years back. Guy didn't work out but there is nothing that says Miles wouldn't take a small back if he has the talent to play at this level. All the backs listed in this thread that are said to currently have LSU offers are small backs other than Fournette. Delvin Cook, Racean Thomas, Stanley Williams, and Brandon Pile are all small RB's.

LSU goes hard after a small back about every other year. The success rate has just been abysmal. Drayton Calhoun and Jakhari Gore did not pan out and the staff really wanted Lache Seastrunk until the Willie Lyles ordeal caused the staff to cool on him toward the end. Don't be surprised if Brazil gets a shot at RB. With Cameron running the offense, smaller RB's could thrive because defenses will not be able to stack the box as much as before and the smaller shifty guys are better at running the screen plays.

Video doesn't lie. I'm not invested, I am a Tiger, first and foremost. The kid plays bigger than 195, and will be 210 by the time he graduates.

Just out of curiosity, IYO who's spot would Taylor have taken in 2013 class if we would have offered?

Tashawn Bower's. You can't just pick one of the 27. With a week left to go we would have had Adam Taylor, and we wouldn't have had a spot for TB. The only way we could have signed him is to downgrade another guy to a grey shirt. It would have to be someone very marginal on grades, and we might not have had another Tevin Lawson on the list. Yours is a good question, though.

Just looked at the Rivals 100 and saw RB Bo Scarbrough (Committed to Bama) who is a beast on film and would be a better option than DWilliams from John Ehret. BS came on a visit for the Bama vs. LSU game last year but didn't really talk to any of the coaches. With all the RB's Bama took in this class and what's left on the roster it would be a few years before BS got any considerable playing time. If Saban can take a player basically right off of our campus then why couldn't we take one of theirs?

I don't think he actually made that trip. He's going to Bama.

Can't blame the Coaches for not talking to him with that little bitch Nicky humping his leg the whole time, saying Daddy needs a new chew toy...

I feel ya...however, I am pretty positive we are not recruiting him anymore...it would be a waste of time....he wants nothing to do with LSU so he's tigerbait IMO

As a tiger, I've never question CLM coaching strategy but I seem to have a little bit of reservation on how BS was handled during his visit for the LSU vs Bama game.... Since the coaches did not spend any time talking to him while he was on campus I just think it was a wasted opportunity to establish some type of relationship with him... CLM and staff probably looked at it as BS just wanting to attend a 'Free Game' and decided against speaking with him. Although I know BS is from Tuscaloosa, the fact is that you never know about recruits these days and to have someone with that type of talent on your campus you should never waste an opportunity to speak with them.

Do you really believe this was handled this way without good reason? Saban is sneaky MFer.

I'd like us to take a longer look at D.K. Buford from MS
