i don't know. i'll see if i can find people who are close to him again and ask
losing his dad, who is LSU's biggest support system member for JJ, is big

anyway, LSU has pretty much had SWLA and Acadiana on lock for quite some time

i think under les we will remain in pro-style for around half of our real offensive snaps
I tend to agree, but the addition of a smaller, quicker back is really a must if we're to take complete advantage of Shepard's skill-set when he's running the spread option (which I imagine is what he'll be doing from behind center over the next 4 years).
This year I think we'll see 3-4 snaps a game with Shepard and Trindon in the backfield running the spread option and speed option game from the shotgun.

You're a moron. This aint a foot race. If you're in the top 5 in recruiting you've pretty much done your job. Since when did they start giving out trophies for finishing first in recruiting?
By the way, we have the #1 class right now.

Derby, you are losing sight of the original post. The debate is not "is this an awesome class" or even "is this LSUs best ever"...the debate is over "is this the greatest class ever? The short answer is NO, it isnt. Had LSU landed guys like Montgomery, Debose, Campbell, we would have an argument. USC has had better classes than this. You are hard headed. Just stay focused on GREATEST class ever and theres really not a debate.

unless he ends up playing the RP role with some WR mixed in
the RP role was much more traditional option from the shotgun and a TT role than the zone-read

I watched an interview with JJ (you might have seen it also) ...where he clearly states that he has been coached by his dad his whole life and is ready to be coached by someone else (for a different perspective)..
Who better to learn from than a guy like Cooper? Ya Ya...that Saban guy. Not gonna happen.
He may not be 100% LSU right now, but it's silly to say it's riskier to bet on JJ being at LSU than RR.

You took the quote out of context. What I meant was, you either get the recruit or you dont and we finished second for Campbell, Debose, Trent Richardson, and Fluker. I didnt expect we were going to land them all, but that is not the argument here. It is GREATEST CLASS EVER

I don't see it. I think Perrilloux ran more of a traditional option because he wasn't schooled in the spread option. Shepard is coming in already polished in the spread option game.

JJ was in love with the idea of being taught by saban for at least a couple months during the season and after

not in the context of what this means
best class ever before/around signing day means the most highly-regarded class at the time of signing

1. missing out on the 3 stud LBs we were targeting
do we ever get these? ..and none of them were from Louisiana, so are you really that upset about it? Chavis is here now and we fianlly have SOMEBODY who can go recruit LBs who has had success developing some successful ones

2. people getting caught up in the debose/campbell BS
Campbell, yes.. but who cares? he was probably an OL project at LSU anyway and we got 2 highly-rated DTs.. nothing to bitch about there
Debose was a silent commit and we lost him to his home school which is probably the hottest school in the country to go to right now for a prospect like him... big fricking deal
And again, who gives a flying frick about what pundants think about having the greatest class ever since we can't go back 10 years and play the Miami Hurricanes on the field anyway?

this is ridiculous talk... please end the dumb shite... WE LOST 5 GAMES THIS YEAR AND WE HAVE THE #1 CLASS
holy shite

I would be too after watching the abortion that was our defense this year...especially the pass defense. Cooper and Chavis change all of that.
