OLignment Transfer Portal - Good Problem

You could be looking at any or all of these OLignmen hopping into the Portal:
Turner, Makaneole, Martinez, and.... wait for it.... Dellinger.
Obviously, Kimo has a tough road to hoe to get PT here. No doubt in my mind he could/would be playing somewhere else, prolly even P5.
Turner's value is starting at Center. Otherwise he's redundant with Delly & Martinez as versatile IOL but his issue with physicality vs the elites at Center also limits him at Guard where Delly/Martinez/Frazier fare much better from the physical standpoint.
Frazier just transferred in so I didn't include him in the Transfer mix but he and Delly/Martinez can all start at Guard with Martinez/Delly (OT, too) also providing starting experience at Center. Stupid deep versatility but if somebody throws a big enough bag, any of these guys could say the hell with it after Spring.
Team wise, you could say Chester & Heard not being Early Enrollees helps the team be better in the long run since their combined effect on the Unit won't be evident till after Fall practice. That fact could help keep the other guys around since the late timing could limit transfer options.
Don't know about y'all but Chester really impressed me in the All American Bowl at Center and while he did good work at RT his projection is inside at Guard.
The year of maturity makes Heard look fricking scary. Elite tools. Could have been a Day one guy if he'd enrolled early. No rush(!) though - he should be starting at RT at some point this season and be on one side or the other for 3 years.
But how cool is it that even with 4 of the 5 starters returning there are just as many options for the Staff going into the 23' Season as there were in 22' when there were so many unknowns???
Campbell and Jones are the only 2 for sure starters and Jones could be moved to Guard. Another IOLignment option.
Just a helluva job by this Staff.

One should ideally wait at least 20 minutes after their last line of cocaine before posting on message boards.
Makes the shite you type way more intelligible

We're down to 12 offensive linemen.
That's a bad number.
We can't afford to have anybody else leave, and we need to find three more scholarship offensive linemen before the season starts or else we're going to be on the thin side.
It's OK to be purging out Orgeron's underachiever recruits from the room, but you have to keep your numbers up there. Look for us to add offensive linemen rather than losing any.

No balls doesn't mean you can't try to contribute content. Dumbass.

Not to worry, it's about football. Way over your head.

I’m concerned too.
I wish we had actually gotten more IOL HS blue chippers.
They need to wait in the wings and develop after these starters move on
Oline is the lifeblood.
LT
Will Campbell so
Bo Bordelon fr
----Zalance Heard 6-6 315 fr
LG
Garrett Dellinger jr
Kimo Makaneole so
----Paul Mubenga 6-4 290 fr
C
Charles Turner sr
Marlon Martinez sr
Fitzgerald West so
RG
Miles Frazier jr
----DJ Chester 6-4 320 fr
RT
Emery Jones so
----Tyree Adams 6-6 305 fr

There are a couple more paragraphs we can look at tomorrow if slowing it down and not confusing you is helping.

Fitz west played dt in bowl, but we are thick there, now.
We need him at IOL, now.

quote:Hell, there was no PT available here for those who've already left and there might not be enough PT for those who remain.
Why are our linemen leaving for Pete’s sake?
Dellinger, Martinez, Turner, and Frazier can't all start.
That's 4 quality guys for 3 positions and that's before anybody who might come from the Spring Portal or Clark the multi year starting Center at Miami. Plus, it's impossible to tell if it's realistic to count on quality contributions from Heard/Chester as Freshmen.
And Jones future is more than likely inside at one of the Guards.
For my money, I'd say we're prolly gonna be seeing a lot more in game OL substitutions like they did in the first half of the Citrus Bowl.
