Everyone tampers. Everyone.
But they seem to be the kings of it. Truly impressive.
So in other words, you are saying that the Runts are sleazy, slimy and cheaters. Checks out.

And Ole Myth won’t have more talent on defense after our current recruiting class and whatever we bring in through the portal this offseason. They just lost most of their top talent on that side and they didn’t have the depth there that they do on offense. They are desperate for a reason.
I believe I read somewhere they are expected to lose 41 upperclassmen this offseason due to being out of eligibility & the NFL draft. That's a ton of experience & production to lose all at once especially at the most important position of all, QB. Ole Miss could very well be the 2024 version of FSU in 2025.

Ole Miss was #17 in total defense, #2 in rushing defense and #1 in sacks in 2024. Most of the impact players on that defense were acquired thru the portal.
A one off year is not “growing.”
Your premise is flawed.
If you want to say that we should spend like Ole Miss did, cool, but that isn’t what you said.
Lastly, that is one side of the ball, in total, the talent gap isn’t “growing.”

Its a serious problem, they are literally in on every target thats worth something.
This has more to do with them being in that “2nd tier” of recruiting along with being in the SEC meaning a lot of television exposure. (Of course a good NIL deal doesn’t hurt)
These transfers have a much better shot at a guaranteed starting spot at those “2nd tier) recruiting teams than the “1st tier” ones. Also, a program like Ole Miss gets great television exposure not because of their own status but more because they are in the SEC and play a lot of “top status” teams. Ole Miss is also a “mid tier” program in money. They don’t have the money of Texas, Bama, LSU, Oklahoma, etc but they aren’t at the bottom either. It’s a perfect situation for a good transfer to land. Kiffin has realized this. He knows he can’t keep up trying to recruit from high school. Ole Miss will lose that battle 9 times out of 10 unless it’s a local kid. So he has smartly decided to go heavy portal for players.
