I guess we loose CR and Hootie.
we did get Brandon.
But overall North La recruits seem more likely to leave La. than the recruits from the southern part of state. Is there some adjustments that need to be made to improve our results.

You know, people may take you seriously if you don't come across as a 10 year old through text.

Also, they may take you seriously if you don't start useless threads.

Stop losing by 3 TDs to bama would be a great place to start.

I see one big thing for S LA kids is playing on the 7x7 circuit together, and playing against each other. And you have to admit, the N LA kids for the most part may as well be in another country when it comes to that.

Those 7x7 and camps are covered, coached, etc by pro-LSU people for the most part. LSU probably needs to institute some kind of "N LA" circuit, obviously dominated by pro-LSU personnel. It is the easiest way to combat the inroads made by other schools (and not just the Gumps btw).

Right now it seems:
A) N LA kids don't really bond as groups, maybe in pairs or trios
B) They are more likely to participate in functions put on by UT or OM than LSU.

That's a start; and actually may be the solution. LSU needs N LA kids recruiting N LA kids. The dynamic you have with a St Aug and Karr doesn't exist up there.

Starts with LSU at large.

My daughter went to a college fair hosted by the bossier parish school board. Nice affair. 40+ colleges and no LSU

Get to know the relationships earlier. Start paying hs coaches the way bama and texas have done. We need local boys to report bama every chance they get. Make their recruiters uncomfortable and turn the area into hostile territory. Get our stronger recruiters on n la recruits. There is a clear cultural difference between n la and south la. Saban knows this better than anyone. He is recruiting la players harder than any other because heweakens LSU in the process. Les is just too clean and a little bit naive and it is costing him this year. Get Mawai on the staff and see what he can do.

LSU need to start putting Olineman high in the draft. That why we lost CRob plan and simple. Let's look at it this way. Bama put OL in the first round. Where the money is I love me some LSU but if I have a chance to go to a school that produces first rounders then I will go where my pocket book will be fat. That's why we lost CRob and that's the only reason. The guy has a chances to make more money then goings to LSU

You have to get the talent before you can have first round picks.

excellent point(s).

LSU gets in the game early, for example they've recruited CRob since 8th grade. But there's more than one game. You're on the money with "turn the area into hostile territory"; LSU isn't in that game at all.

And that's what Diaz/Brown did exactly with Toshirio Davis.

this isn't english grammar 101. It's a discussion board. If you don't like the question it's really simple don't continue to read or post a response.
What is more useless than responding to a thread you have labeled useless?

Seriously? 1st round talent is 1st round talent.

If you got it, you could be playing for Central Michigan and get drafted in the first round.
