That is probably the RA rumor that was going on today on a few boards. Supposedly, the RA for Oneil Hall told someone that Kiel would be staying in that dorm. Probably the same source but I absolutely hate the entire fact they are using unnamed sources.

This is why I actually thought he chose LSU over ND in the first place....

What is this unfair advantage exactly?

As long as they finish in the top 8, they get an automatic BCS bowl berth. There have been several teams finish in the top 8 (and better) in the last few years that have gotten shafted (and more than just Boise State)!

Exactly. Guy tells me that other players have been singing his praises for the longest. He finally started picking up the system and that was the only thing holding him back. Unless he collapses in the spring EG is the guy. His skill set fits the scheme perfectly.

I dont know wtf Kiel is thinking. Is he more afraid Rivers than EG??

Or Les..

not sure who you are talking with but BKs system is more of a passing type spread offense than a running-oriented spread offense; it helps that the QB has mobility but it is not essential (see: tony pike at cincy).

on everett golson, he is more of a pass first guy than a run first guy anyways, although he does have great elusiveness in the pocket. gunner is not as elusive as golson, but he has a bigger arm and he moves well enough (think of andrew luck type-mobility). it should be a great battle, but i wouldnt rule out andrew hendrix either.

with that said, gunner has a better chance of starting at ND than he does at LSU that much i am fairly certain.

If Notre Dame was ever in the top 8 without that rule, do you truly think the Irish wouldn't get selected with the large fanbase and $$$? Michigan and Va Tech were both just selected as at-larges at #11 and #13, way worse than #8, and neither of those fanbases can match ND's, either. That rule means nothing. Meanwhile, teams like Clemson and West Virginia get in this year automatically, but nobody complains about that.

So, his mom bought all that purple stuff after his commitment for nothing?

We'll see how it plays out. Im just talking about EG's skill set in comparison to the other QB's there.

Also...Kelly alters his system. It was more passing for the ND QBs cause they couldnt run like EG. Just like TOny Pike had a certain system for him and Zach Collaros (sp) had a certain system for him.

Plus back at Cent Michigan he had Dan Levefour when he threw for 3000 and ran for 1000 in a season. Im just saying.

I dont know how good the kid is. Just passing along what I heard.

This was Gunner Kiel's tweet from one week ago...

LINK

I honestly wonder what he thought of the coaching last Monday night, particularly as it pertained to the quarterback fiasco.

And, I wonder if he watched Jarrett Lee's brilliant performance tonight.

Another sad Monday night for LSU football and a huge loss to the program.

Maybe he'll change his mind again and recommit to LSU? Unfortunately for us, probably not.

It's amazing what a rumor can do. You do realize that I could say that the Kiel family was having lunch at brew bachers today, sat at the table right next to me and everything. There is most likely a legitimate reason why our 5* qb couldn't make it to the meeting. Dude is all LSU

Totally agree Ritt! Lefebvre was the only other QB besides Tebow that ran for 20 and threw for 20..this is BK's system!

I have also been told Golson looks the best in practice. I want Hendrix to beat him out (not due to poor performance by Golson, but because Hendrix puts it all together), but if not, then I expect Golson to take the reigns and do fine. I don't think Kiel has any realistic shot at starting this season for ND, but I will say it's possible he could as a sophomore, if nobody plays extremely well.

If you think for one moment that the absolutely pathetic coaching job at BCSNC and the way miles set the program back did not affect his switch your are naive be prepared to loose more recruits to Saban and better coaches to much negative press

I have been doing some googling and it just does t seem logical that he would do this.

Just as much competition and we have everything more to offer except distance from Aleta.

I don't have much hope becuase this is looking pretty grim but I am a posi tiger and I will keep faith until we hear definate word.

He would be smart to follow Flynn instead of Clausen.

Easily the worst 2 weeks in La football history

While I agree the last two weeks have sucked. I would hardly call playing inthe national championship game and the Saints playing in the second round of the playoffs, the worst two weeks in la football history.
