Why can't I think of the #1 overall RB's name who committed to Kiffen at Tennessee? Bryce Brown?

FWITW:
After listening to a report in the Knoxville media more than a week ago, I was a little skeptical of the commitment. They claimed that Kiel contacted Tennessee, asking if they were still interested. Tennessee said no, they got another kid, I guess.
If true, maybe he wasn't as committed as we hoped. This isn't surprising, if true.

A report in Knoxville said that UT wasn't interested in the #1 Pro Style QB?
Did they give a reason? Too much depth?

things have a way of working themselves out...the Janzen Jackson meltdown was similar

Could not have been Gunner Kiel, maybe his brother. You think TN would not have taken the #1 pro-style QB recruit?

Whatever happened to Dre Kirkpatrick and Patrick Peterson (or fill in numerous other names)? You can do this both ways. Doesn't mean shite.
I can't believe this guy left the day before classes began. I can't remember this happening before ever. What an awful week to be an LSU fan. Looks like Janzen Jackson has company as far as the guy I'll be rooting against for the rest of his life.

Too bad no one associated with the reason you say this agrees with you. But I am sure young men that will go on to have successful lives appreciate you hating on someone they admire, like the dad who yells at the coach from the stands because his kid isn't in the game.

pryor started for four years and won 2 bcs bowl games so i first think you would need to define "success" before any analysis would be worthwhile.
Bryce brown is a good example

You have to admit, there is a difference between a kid committing early, say at the beginning or mid senior year, then changing his mind months later as the process plays out. Compared to a kid that commits, goes through the process, decommits after the season, then a few weeks later changes his mind again. The latter is much more detrimental to the team offering. And the appearance becomes much more game playing on the recruits part, attention whoring, as opposed to genuine reconsideration.

if you believe that commits should be committed, then you shouldn't recruit kids who are commits
otherwise, you'd be pushing kids to de-commit (and saying it was good that they weren't 100% committed)
Yes, but as everyone else does this it is rather detrimental to your program to to do likewise. I'm not too fond of nuclear missiles, but if Russia has them then we should too!

It's not just this post, but everything you say makes you sound like you have an iq of 38

I"m just relaying what they said. They've recruited another kid, I can't recall his name.
Sounds odd, I agree. Maybe it's just sour grapes.

He called askin if they were interested and they said no? Yeah ok.

I was under the impression that Gunner and his parents were very high on Kragthorpe not only for his ability to develop Gunner as a qb, but as well as Kragthorpe being a strong Christian influence and role model. That's why I have a hard time believing they'll put him in Kelly's hands.

nah, the whole situation is high comedy. Do you really think their would be no repercussions for that horrible planning with zero foresight?
he brought this on himself. I support miles, but fans have a right to criticize.

Kelly gets offset by the whole Notre Dame thing.
