Too much smoke to really be nothing but these rumors could very well be coming from his brother leaving Indiana and people running with that by checking to see if Gunner is at LSU. Gunner not being at LSU then would lead to all the pure speculation that is going on now. Every linked "report" of Gunner decommiting is based on the same source from earlier but on steriods because the national guys started tweeting shite. It's not a case where multiple sources are reporting it. It's just 1 source leading to a massive trend around the twitterverse and blog networks. This is the problem with mass communication and social networking.
The bad part of all of this is that LSU fans are a little sketchy on believing LSU sources because of the Collins thing which they couldn't help. There is no way Farrell or anyone else has a better source at LSU than TL,Shea and DP. They've been noncommittal on Kiel being expected at LSU so for now the smoke has to be regarded as legit.

Landing a quarterback isn't easy. Randle is a total question mark as is Rivers. Mett could crush it next year and leave. I never expected Brockers to be gone, but he is.
As we have seen, a lot of crazy stuff can happen and your quarterback play can kill any title hopes, as evidenced by this season. Nothing gives me any confidence in anyone on our roster but Mett. We needed Kiel, this sucks, and finding a replacement isn't really a viable option at this point.

Taken in the context of your response to Lester, it read as if you would just assume not have the headache of hearing from our fans unrealistic expectations.

Farrell's tweet about Kiel being expected at LSU cited a LSU source. Where else would a LSU source come from if not LSU?
The difference between these rumors and the locker room rumors is that we can prove Kiel isn't on campus and wasn't at the meeting. No one can prove that a fight took place. Everyone,including the rumored participants, denied it. So no not as credible.

Kiel family had 2 kids recruited before Gunner. They know the process. Seems odd that rumors would swirl and they wouldn't squash them.
