Not who will sign Wednesday, but how many do the coaches want to sign?

I would guess the coaches want to sign 23 and that would leave two spots open for flips. What is your guess?

I’m going to go ahead and say that no one except the coaching staff knows this for sure. Too many moving parts.

I'm sure they want 23 to sign but probably expect around 17-19

I’d be happy with 20. Shores up your class with room for surprises and big fish.

The good thing is we can focus resources after Wednesday and I'm sure a few of the kids have been told sign Wednesday or lose a spot so we will probably hear a few kids commiting that were back up choices.

If they are back up choices, why would LSU want them to commit early?
Back up choices means you missed out on other higher recruits.

18. There will be some surprises and let downs but that is recruiting.

I think that the coaches want to sign as many as they can because that gives them extra time to prepare. True Freshman will need to learn the schemes that we use.

Who they want to sign, within reason with the kids we know about.

QB Johnson, Finley
RB Evans(not go public)
WR Burton, Moore, Boutte, Jarrett(not go public)
TE Gilbert
OL Martinez, Hill, Dumervil
DL Roy, Guillory, Gaye, Taylor, Burch
ILB Sampah, White, Kennedy
OLB Webb, Ojulari
CB Ricks
S Toles
That's dropping Taylor and signing 23. Leaves two for McKinley Jackson and a S, preferably Avante Williams to me.
Don't see them turning any of the 23 away if they want to sign. Bet they all have papers Wednesday morning.

Take this for what it’s worth, but I spoke to a friend of Boutte this morning and he said that he’s flipping to bama. Apparently his dad has been in his ear to flip.
It was a high schooler telling me this, but he showed me that he does talk to him regularly. So I’m not sure.

I don't understand these kids and how they could flip from LSU after this year. Especially if they are Louisiana kids.

You want to go play for a fricking a-hole who has openly said "Tua is one of the 4-5 players I have truly loved".

Or do you want to go play for a coach who loves ALL his players? "One Team, One Hearbeat"!!!! Says it all!

If you are a 4-5 star, you really shouldn't be swayed about NFL. Your hard work and determination will get you there. It boils down to who do you want to play for.

Go watch a Bama game and their players are on the sideline in fricking fear... go watch this years Auburn Bama game and you see it in the kick off return... only 4-5 people jumping up and down.

Then go watch any LSU game and look at the ENERGY!!!!!

Play for a prick

or play for incredible man

If dad has been in his ear that means Bama is working him as their angle for a flip.

Daddy getting that Bama treatment.

Not saying it’s the case here, but unfortunately you wonder how much it’s about ‘what can you give me’ vs what’s best for the player’s future.
Had a similar interaction with Cam Robinson’s family the 1-2 years before he signed. And his uncle openly talked to me about why they were considering each school....and it had nothing to do with academics, future potential, or exposure.
