football rankings.

1. North Shore
Location: Galena Park, Texas
2018-19 Record: 16-0
Final Super 25 Rank: 2

Why them: Last season, the Mustangs finished No. 2 in the final Super 25 Football rankings and is the early favorite to win the title next year.
quote:

The team has eight players who are rated three-star or better, including the No. 1 running back in the nation, Zach Evans, and four-star quarterback Dematrius Davis. Davis may be a dual-threat player, but don't mistake him as a running quarterback: He completed 71.6 percent of his passes for 3,350 yards and 43 touchdowns, according to Rivals. As a reminder, he did that as a sophomore against elite Texas competition. What will his junior year bring?

Davis is aided by Dameion George, a 6-foot-6.5, 348-pound offensive tackle who has another year left, and four-star wide receiver/athlete Shadrach Banks, who is entering his junior year.

1. North Shore - Zach Evans and hopefully the underclassman QB.
2. St. John Bosco Location: Bellflower, Calif.
3. St. Thomas Aquinas Location: Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Marlon Martinez LSU commit, Marcus Dumervil - prospect
4. Mater Dei Location: Santa Ana, Calif.
5. St. John's College Location: Washington, D.C. - Rakim Jarrett - LSU commit
6. Duncanville Location: Texas
7. St. Frances Academy Location: Baltimore - Jordan Toles & Demon Clowney - LSU commits
8. IMG Academy Location: Bradenton, Fla. - Elias Ricks - LSU commit
9. Marietta Location: Marietta, Ga.
10. Narbonne Location: Harbor City, Calif. - DT Jordan Berry - LSU commit
11. Central Location: Phenix City, Ala. - Peter Parrish & LSU coach Tommie Robinson's former high school
Why them: There could be major change coming to the Central team as Peter Parrish, one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation, graduates.

12. Miami Central Location: Miami, Fla.
13. St. Louis Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
14. Pickerington Central Location: Pickerington, Ohio
15. Eastside Catholic Location: Sammamish, Wash.
16. Gonzaga Location: Washington, D.C.
17. Saguaro Location: Scottsdale, Ariz. - five-star Kelee Ringo — the No. 1 CB
18. Bishop Gorman Location: Las Vegas, Nev.
19. Aledo Location: Aledo, Texas
20. Grayson Location: Loganville, Ga.
21. St Joseph's Location: Philadelphia, Pa.
22. Archbishop Hoban Location: Akron, Ohio
23. Carroll Location: Southlake, Texas
24. DeMatha Location: Hyattsville, Md.
25. Martin Luther King Location: Detroit, Mich.

Sounds like they are loaded at every position.

From the linked article:

"Why them: To get a full grasp of how good St. Frances Academy is, read this intro paragraph to a January article in the Washington Post LINK: "This year, the St. Frances Academy Panthers almost didn't have a season. No one in their private-school league would play them. They are just that good." Check out the article for in-depth reasons that may or may not factor in teams boycotting SFA, but all of them go back to one thing: The Panthers don't just win. They dominate.

Last season, SFA allowed six points in three games. They shut out their next five opponents, plus got a forfeit win. In the championship game, the Panthers won 43-14. They return eight of the top 15 players in Maryland, most notably five-star defensive end Chris Braswell. It's hard to see the team slipping much from last year, as it only graduated two players rated four-stars by 247Sports.

In fact, all around the field are studs. SFA has two four-star cornerbacks, a four-star safety, a four-star running back, a linebacker corps with two four-stars and a three-star, and a trio of three-star seniors on the offensive line. With most of the Panthers now seniors, they will be expected to win every game they play — if they can find opponents."

They haven't been as good recently.

They are the Katy Tigers and I see quite a few bumper stickers in my neighborhood. They used to have one that was very similar to something LSU would have. At first glance it would catch me off guard.

I am very familiar with Katy's colors. It was 3 or 4 years ago. I can't remember what it was - sticker, flag, just a Tiger Head decal. I think it was for the playoffs. But it was similar to something LSU would have and not a red & white Katy. It may have even been the tiger head with a "Geaux Tigers".

And not the tiger head like on this shirt.

More like this tiger head:

Gotcha. I watched few games this year where they absolutely crushed Cinco ranch and Seven lakes.

They are not a BAD team by any stretch of the imagination.

I think all the schools that have opened have watered down their talent level. Cinco Ranch (1999), Morton Ranch (2004), Seven Lakes (2005) and Tompkins (2013).

Then you also have:
Paetow High School (2017) 9th & 10th grades overflow for Katy and Morton Ranch.
Raines High School (?)
Katy Taylor
and
Mayde Creek

Didn't know that. I did see their testing results and school ranking. Both were pretty horrible.
