For DL recruiting it was overall it was very good. Can't sugarcoat going 0-4 for DL but thank goodness for Ika and Evans and now Fauna!
People biatch about OT. Well Parker is the OT for this class. But he may not be an impact until 2021, hopefully 2020. DE was the need not met. Fauna may be a hybrid but I doubt an every down DE. If I am O and staff I am looking hard at the portal at the best viable transfer option at DE as a gap filler between this class and next.
Sopsher - we had a shot. Never believe the ignorant who think it was done deal a year ago. BS. We had a shot and we did not close. Not a case of being blown out of the water from the gate.. its about closing.
Which brings around to the very end for the Sopshers. If y'all been reading between the lines on what is out there and have heard any juicy rumors (I have LOL!) it is like this. They seriously considered our final offer A BETTER ONE THAN ANYTHING BAMA could do. Yet their relationship with Petitto was stronger in the end than a deal that would set their family up as a unit and individuals in state. Deal rivaling what we did for the Fournettes and PP7 and his family. They outbid and outsold their own souls..doing something better for other individuals than themselves. That is the rumor....the one for public consumption. Unreal.
Our final wildcard should have been pulled sooner. If it had IMHO we would have landed him. We are losing out on closing..partially due to bad timing and planning ahead well.
