While you guys are at it on this LSU BOARD, why not also talk about Northwestern, LaTech, ULM, and SELA also? It's not relevant to talk about any of them on an LSU Recruiting Board.

I heard the the new coach has a D-1 QB who may tranfer after the semester is over. He can't say now until school lets out.I guess we can wait and see.

It will probably be a QB from BYU because he still has some roots there. I wonder what Jarret Lee is doing after this season? He might want to make that trek down the Bayou to attempt to further his career.

Yes a DICK would go well here. I don't know what the deal is with both of you douche bags, this is a recruiting board, not a LSU recruiting board. Then again, I don't think much time needs to go into this!

Stevie Douglas is a home schooled QB with real potential, 6'4" 190 lb, from Clinton. But he plays for a home schooled team and some of those teams play 8th and 9th graders regularly (kind of like if Doyle and Holden in your area played football - it is Class B & C level competition). He has the strongest arm in the LA 2011 class, great fundamentals, good athleticism and is a great kid, but just isn't battle tested. His dad, who is also his coach, is trying to transfer him to Central or another 4A-5A school and I think they looked at Christian Life, etc. There have been blogs here about him if you search. People on here have said that Gary Crowton is looking at him, but I don't know either way really. I have some good ties, but not to LSU.

Also, I jumped on you because you riped Nelson and I knew you had ripped Oliver before. Then you took a shot at Bell, who got all those balls to your cousin with not much other help at Live Oak. I have personally timed all these guys in the 40, so I do know how fast your cousin is. Remember, many guys at these combines show up billed as 4.5-4.6 guys, and as a rule they run 4.7-4.9. There is nothing wrong with having been a good high school football player/athlete, as very few go on to play college ball.

Remember though that Nelson got the offer and is a very good athlete and should get in the mix in the new Nichols spread offense early in his career. Oliver and Bell will both be very good college QB's in my view. Bell in Arkansas and Zack next year will select a major program. Live Oak will simply never replace Bell and Switzer, but remember (and I was a QB so I am partial to them. Unless you played, you have no idea how hard it is, especially at a place like Live Oak, when the DB's are better athletes than your receivers in every dang game) you don't catch 50 balls in high school, many of them down field, unless you have a big time QB. I see the district next year as Catholic, then I hope Denham second, but they have to beat Central, then 4th Zachary, then Scotlandville, then the winner of Live Oak-Walker. I am afraid that Todd at Walker is going to play his very young son at QB in that District and it will be ugly.

Also, I saw that Elliot Scott signed with Hinds Community in MS. Has anyone else signed at Denham this year? And, Tanner Wells played within himself last year I thought. His Senior year, I expect that he will throw for 1,000 yds plus to better compliment the running game...Denham was a little one-dimensional last year.

Finally, don't be hating on Catholic. I have friends in LP. There are good people everywhere. Catholic has an active alumni group, does a lot of plilanthopic work, etc. There are a lot of good people at Catholic and the public schools in BR are not as good as those in LP.

I removed your quotes from my earlier post too...no need to pile on you. The yards after catch issue does interest me though and I know from the LO games I saw, there were not many yards after catch, mostly because receivers were closely covered and the ball right on the money, then they immediately got tackled AND because everybody at Live Oak would get caught soon after a catch. The TD passes were literally all THROWN into the endzone. Remember, stats are not everything. There are plenty of receivers more highly recruited and better than any of these local guys, who only caught 20-25 balls on the season because they didn't have a QB to get it to them. You will also see that they may only have 20-25 catches, but they have 10 TD. There was a kid at Scotlandville a few years ago, who only had about 15 catches, but he literally had 600 yards and 8 TD from those receptions. That is real speed and yards after catch. The Central receivers were like that this year. They had about the same number of receptions during the regular season as LO receivers did, but a lot more yards and TD, because it was hard to cover 3 or 4 college caliber receivers every play and when they got it, they took it home. Wes Briscoe had 43 receptions on the regular season, resulting in 16 TD....impressive yards afer catch, which several guys at Central have done the last couple years.

I am not attempting to hijack any board moron. I am talking about college sports in the same area as LSU. I am just as die hard as the next LSU fan but I went to Nicholls and I hope they do great with their new philosophy.

Comments like these make me picture you as a skinny little frat kid who probably didn't make his high school football team in 1A. Better luck living through your kids.

Good day.

this is all irrelevant anyhow. We all know who owns the SLC anyway.

I'm excited as hell to see what Briscoe will be able to do after he's in the system a while.

I think Briscoe can do well at McNesse and his brother I think can play very early at receiver. Something I was commenting on earlier, Wes is fast, has great hands, runs good routes (will be great in 2 yrs), and in high school got separation and lots of yards after catch....good grief, he had 43 regular season receptions last year with 16 receiving TD's, which is tremendous. Also, it is cool to have twins in this position. How many balls you think they have thrown together? They should have a sixth sense and my guess is that Wes will be a possession type receiver, maybe in the slot, and a go-to-guy, safety valve often, target for Will. Wes can get deep on seam and wheel routes too, especially with his speed against Safeties and LB's. It will be only natural for his brother to look for him whenever in trouble, etc. Wes is not as thick or strong as Nelson (to Nichols), but faster. They were the two best in the district and fun to watch. If you aren't real big, then catch it and get down over the middle.

That sorta says it all. Who cares about the directional schools. They ought to all be consolidated into one in north Louisiana. They are all irrelevant, and I'm saying this even though I graduated from one and taught at one. Nicholls wasn't even a 4-year school when I was in college. And the other dude was correct: This IS an LSU board!

I cant see Denham as second and Central as 3rd(they are losing a LOT of MAJOR PLAYERS). I think the district comes down to Catholic and Zachary(they threw for over 300 on CHS) with Catholic's Oliver, Grant Dubroc, Scott Salinas and Blake Ashford making the difference offensively. Expect Lance Callihan to dominate on D-tackle in 2010

You've probably cheered for me kid.

And you're talking about skinny frat boyz living thru kids? You are a legacy of Nicholls who really thinks he knows sports.

Hijacking is exactly what you've done earwax! Actually, this topic on this board is the EXACT definition of what hijacking is. Go on Nichols board to talk about your recruiting fiasco. This really is an LSU site, except for the Saints section.

Put an egg in your boot, and beat it.
