With the addition of Victor, Simmons, and Blakeney, and possibly another recruit. I was curious who all will have to go next year to make room if Martin and Mickey Stay? We have no one graduating, so 3 would have to go. I'm assuming the 2 walk on type guys (Shortess, and Eddlestone I believe), but who would be the third?

Both won't be here and John Odo is a senior, right?

Have you seen our bench? Plenty of players that can be "processed."

We already have 2 open scholarship spots and Odo is a senior.

If no one leaves we are still fine unless we pick up another recruit. With either Mickey or Martin or both likely to be gone we will have room.

What an odd thing to be concerned about.

Only one now, but I can see people counting him as part of the 2015 class?

We are only at 11 scholarship players right now and are definitely losing Odo to graduation.

So unless BOTH Mickey and Martin stay AND we get another recruit (JaQuan Lyle?) only then we would have to process 1 player.

So basically we're fine.

They are both rated as mid to late second rounders in the draft. Just my opinion but they would be stupid not to stick around and try to make a deep run in next years tourny to improve their draft stock.

For some reason I thought Odo had another year. So I guess only if we get another recruit and both stay will we have to process someone.

1. You're looking at 1 mock draft WAYYYY ahead of the draft itself
2. I've seen mocks with both in the 1st round

It's a long ways away, but considering BOTH made "announcements" to come back this year means they both want to make the jump to the NBA and as soon as possible. It's not logical to expect either one back.

Mickey is a great College player, but you don't get any more of a Tweener in terms of the NBA. He is like Tyrus Thomas light as far as I am concerned. And Martin has the size and athleticism. He just needs to be way more aggressive. I just think if the team spent a year ranked and then had a nice run in the tourny he could probably guarantee himself a really nice draft spot.

I could give a Baker's frick about being let down. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if either one of them go pro. I just think its clearly in their best interest to wait another season unless they make a deep run in the NCAA tourny this year.

I would think both would be headed to the NBA after this season. Unless the thought of playing with Simmons and Blakeney and having a legitmate shot at the FInal Four and a National Championship would be too much for them to pass up.

Jordan Mickey a great college player? Wow. I never thought I was watching greatness. What would you consider guys like Walton, Sampson, Alcindor and Maravich?

You mean it's in our best interest. Mickey has peaked as a college player and Martin's athleticism/potential is great at 6'10 and he's finally starting to "Get it" driving to the rim.

No, Just my opinion, but honestly I don't think Mickey will pan out in the NBA at all really. I am almost certain he wouldn't go in the first round, therefore he would risk not making a roster. Martin could "possibly" end up in the first round with his size and Athleticism. I just don't agree that he is finally starting to "get it" driving to the rim. He could be a lottery pick with some more polishing in my opinion.
