So we’re already saying he’s coming to LSU? I hope. Does anyone know if there’s legitimate interest and why the CB came in? I looked through his offer list and we are easily the best option for him.

We offered earlier in the month and have recruiting him pretty hard supposedly

I think we need to take him and drop Johnson over Finley. Personal opinion so who knows what they do.

You will be disappointed if that’s what you think. Finley will be the one to get dropped, whether we agree with it or not

Can someone please explain the hype behind Maxx Johnson, and why does everyone want him over TJ?

I usually don't have any inside info, but I actually do in this situation. Haynes King is my brother-in-laws cousin. That side of his family lives in Shreveport and are all LSU grads. Apparently his family are LSU fans and want him to go there. I think it is highly likely he signs with LSU if one of the current QB commits decommit. He may even replace one of them anyway.

Ricks up 2 spots to 9.

I compiled these a little earlier today:

Commits
5-star CB Elias Ricks - Down 1 in composite to #9, Up 2 in 247's to #9
4-star WR Kayshon Boutte - Up 31 in composite to #38, Up 14 in 247's to #36
4-star WR Darin Turner - Down 27 in composite to #81, Down 122 spots in 247's to #177
4-star DT Jaquelin Roy - Up 62 in composite to #110, Up 107 spots in 247's to #119
4-star QB Max Johnson - Down 57 spots in composite to #138, Down 191 spots in 247's to #337 (3-star there now)
4-star OT Courtland Ford - Down 20 spots in composite to #185, Down 34 spots in 247's to #252
4-star WDE Alec Bryant - Down 34 spots in composite to #191, Down 49 spots in 247's to #127
4-star QB TJ Finley - Down 22 spots in composite to #242, Down 46 spots in 247's to #324 (3-star there now)
4-star DT CamRon Jackson - Down 62 spots in composite to #335, Down 17 spots in 247's to #267
4-star WR Kris Abrams-Draine - Down 56 spots in composite to #349, Down 32 spots in 247's to #221
3-star DT Jordan Berry - Down 33 spots in composite to #416, Down 50 spots in 247's to #397

Looks like Draine and Jackson will fall to 3-stars in the composite once they update the stars there

Haynes King moved up to 43 in 247’s rankings. There’s also a highlight video on the article
LINK
He looks good and not as fragile as I thought. Maybe it’s the pads.
His numbers are impressive, as well as the competition he’s faced. He looks like a clear take. Should be more of a priority than either of the ones we’ve got now, based on what I’be seen.

Surprisingly McKinnley Jackson fell 77 spots. Still want him in the class. The kid is a monster.

Also, his dad was an All American at Northwestern State (Not Northwestern in the Big 10). Maybe Coach O can appeal to him based on their common alma mater.

If Clemson lands who they lead for, that would be 17 of the top 247 including the top 3.

I REALLY don’t understand why Bryant dropped so much. 247 wrote about how he dominated The Opening in Houston and earned top performers honors. Just baffling!
