An AU fan is claiming that he talked to Collins on FB and Collins supposedly said that if NSD was tomorrow he would sign with AU.... Now, Does anyone here honestly believe that? I sure as hell don't , but the Family will run with it, because they are creepy FB stalking children. This is not a shot at you abadee.... The family takes FB chatting to new creepy and violating levels.

and even if the player did tell you something, would they want it posted on here?

probably not.

That's my biggest thing... and why I fully believe the information they feed people in these FB chats or texts or whatever isn't reliable. Unless you really are a genuine friend of the person, the information they feed you will very likely be unreliable.

Ags and Aha both posted yesterday about the likelihood of Bridgewater and Rogers both committing and how Rogers was getting a commitable offer and Ags offering up winks even.

Turns out, his information, which was admittedly "straight from Rogers" was obviously either misconstrued or misleading. Teddy isn't coming here; Rogers isn't getting an offer...

But you guys fully believe everything these guys tell you is truth. And it's just not that simple.

Most kids these days are aware of their relative clout and that people follow them. Rogers was probably chatting with Louisville fans telling them they were a lock to go there too.

That was an essay, but you get my drift... the kids and their family/coaches are usually the only ones who know the real answers... and they aren't going to just divulge that information to some guy they met once for 5 minutes much less someone through facebook...

ETA: And it's not just you.. I've seen dozens of people mislead by stuff... A Bama fan three years ago swore up and down McCarron told him Randle was coming to Bama all the way. Obviously, he was wrong. When Sylve visited this summer, another dude said he was set to commit... he's going to Bama. Same with Mickey Johnson... And this was all "straight from the recruit."

Yea also if you think that you are breaking news because your reading facebook posts or telling people you talk to recruits when you don't you need to give that up. Also when you think you know whats goin on and who does and doesn't have committable offers when you don't have a clue because people will believe what you post because of screen-name. There is some credibility on this site but there is also a lot of BS. I would love to post on this site more often but there are way to many agressive attacks on people who have done that person no wrong.

I agree with everything you posted Dan except Mickey Johnson. Only because that recruit isn't as great of an example. He told scout and rivals two different lists of leaders on the same day.

I don't remember you saying it. I remember Aggie saying it and I even told him in an email to add a little disclaimer. Recruiting changes and coaches make quick decisions sometimes that impact it.

You can even ask aggie about the email of me saying I think Bridgewater goes to Louisville.

Does anyone disagree that disclaimers should be issued for any info taken from facebook?

Your approach is totally acceptable. I know you know Ryan Byrd and you never tried to represent it like you were sharing some covert info.. it was always very basic info... which brings up another point... when some truly does know the person, they are typically pretty guarded with the info... as well they should be.

Well that may be the best example... because what he says can rarely be trusted since he likes playing the game so much.

Some of these people have bugs in their butts..You dont have to defend yourself to them.
Where they think they are perfect, they are far from it.
I care little what they think of me, I will never interact with them in real life and dont give 2 shits what they have to say.
In the end this site is about LSU not them.

Friendships are made many different ways. While I too wouldnt do that, I dont knock anyone who does.
I mean if both parties are ok with it then who am I to judge them?
