Where do you see those stats?
quote:that's 67% completion.
As a senior, Russo hit on 134-of-200 passes for 2,452 yards with 35 touchdowns leading his team to an 11-2 record.

Russo excelled among a group of four- and five-star prospects and later learned he had been invited to the Elite 11 finals at Nike World Headquarters in July.
quote:
“Anthony Russo is a flat baller with all the tools that you’re looking for in a quarterback,” says Steve Wiltfong, the Director of Recruiting for 247Sports who attended the finals. “He, first of all, has all the physical tools. He can throw the football, he’s a big, strong kid that can move a little bit, and then he’s got all the intangibles.” Wiltfong added, “He’s just a strong decision maker and he makes quick decisions as well. So that’s one thing you look for when you say, ‘Hey, can this young man carry it over to the next level?’”
This ^^^ makes it sound like he's very, very underrated.
quote:
Russo says that since the event he has heard from other programs, including Temple, Indiana and West Virginia. Yet he remains a “strong commit” to Rutgers, even in light of the negative headlines Flood and the Scarlet Knights have created in recent weeks. Russo says he has “coach Flood’s back 110%.”
He has worked to foster a strong bond among the Scarlet Knights’ 18 committed players. He says they communicate in a large group chat and remain focused on “staying close and all staying committed and being able to go to Rutgers because we know when we get there we’ll be able to do special things.”
This ^^^ makes it seem like he isn't leaving Rutgers in the dust.

Got an offer from Bucknell must be a smart kid. Gotta have it between the ears to be a good QB. Seems like a project but would be a good get and watch for a few years

Everyone with the negative comments, They are doing the best they can with franks bolting in the 11th hour.
3 star guy with great size and some good film, not to mention pro style who has run an offense that resembles ours.
It sounds fantastic to me, especially when you look at the alternative.

It would be nice to see us get a kid that has run some play action from under center in high school and looks comfortable doing it. We run a ton of play action from under center, and one of the most difficult adjustments for the QBs that are in the shotgun 95% of the time in high school is getting used to turning your back to the defense on play action.

Ehh works for me. Go get him Cam. By his jr. Year We might be able see something once B graduates.

I just watched his film...
Apparently Penn State fans wanted him badly and were upset Franklin didn't go after him..
He is big, big arm, throws a great ball, quick feet, good foot work and is said be a good character type kid.
Elite 11
Bring him in...

We would be lucky to land this kid

Now he is a good looking QB prospect.

This is not an accomplishment when you look at the last several years of Elite 11 QBs. Maybe 1-3 QBs on average are any good from that thing.
However, I like what little bit I saw in the tape and he might be buried treasure.

Doesn't have a cannon, but has good touch on the ball and accuracy. Probably worth an offer.

Aaaaahh. The infamous last minute hope that gets the fans all in just to watch him stick with his school.
I would stand up and applaud my computer if we landed this guy. Not getting invested in this one because after watching his senior film, I think he's damn good.

Agreed. Flacco is from New Jersey, was a 3 star and the 39th rated QB by Rivals when he was recruited to Delaware. Some guys just take some time to develop and become a polished QB - learn the footwork, throwing mechanics, studying film, reading defenses, etc. I can't wait to see BH next year and his senior year to see the results of his studying and progression to become an NFL caliber QB.
Given the time to stock up on QB's, Cam will develop them for our pro style offense that takes advantage of all the great downhill style NFL RBs our state produces.

This kid looks like a good quarterback. Good size too. While comments about Rutgers seem like he will be a challenge to sign, he looks like he would be worth the effort.

I like his film a lot. Smooth delivery and solid mechanics. Also makes a wide range of throws and shows good touch. He will have to get up to speed with the flow of SEC play, but its not like he will be thrust into playing immediately. I dont hate the option at all.

Saw this thread and my mind brought me an image of Cam hanging outside his house as the kid's dad opened the front door to get the morning papers...lol
