You are truly nutz if you think lsu can sign a top ten class without New Orleans

LSU's 2017 Recruiting Class says hello. The only player signed out of NOLA was the 89th best WR in the nation, and LSU had the 7th-ranked class.

It's really difficult for some people to understand how a new HC might want to bring in his guys.

What's even more difficult to understand is why he might wait until after signing day to do so.

It's so fricking hard right?

Sounds like O really screwed the pooch on this one. Firing a guy right after signing day? What a load of shite. The move to Texas Tech alone kills the argument of the spin doctors about his wife.

bullshite. He already let one coach go. If he had fired Craig and Juluke along with Peveto and had to get a new OC as well, it would have been a mad scramble to line up a staff and this class would have taken a hit. This was the best middle road and we landed a good class because of it.

As for firing guys after signing day, this happens often enough. You act as if O is breaking some kind of new ground here. This is P5 SEC Football. Grow up.

Should we expect LSU to have to clear moves with fricking HS coaches? Should ANY FBS team allow underlings to dictate terms to them? Should our team be bound to mediocre coaches because they have a connection somewhere? If that's the case, then we don't need any more assistant coaches from NO. Those kinds of attached strings are bullshite.

Actions have consequences. One of those consequences was potentially burning a bridge to a large chunk of New Orleans.

If he thinks its worth it, then so be it. He doesn't have to clear it with high school coaches, but those high school coaches don't have to say good things about LSU either.

It's a game and its a game that works both ways.

So your awesome suggestion is to keep a guy who struggled to land running backs for another season when, because of his previous shortcoming, we have to hit a home run recruiting RBs? To appease some HS coaches? You cannot run a big time football program this way. Every corner of the state will pull the same bullshite looking for a handout.

Juluke signed one player out of Nola this year. He was lazy. The guy just wasn't ready for the SEC. If the NOLA coaches even hint at this shite that would pretty much cement Juluke's career as a RB coach at a shitty program forever. He'd be toxic to most staffs. Mickey Joseph is NOLA football royalty. This won't even be a thing by tomorrow evening.

Juluke wasn't harmed by the timing. If Juluke was getting fired, these coaches were going to be irrationally upset.
