I have often seen posts on this board stating Saban signed a player just to spite LSU, or to get a teammate, or to get him to silently commit and pretend he is interested in LSU so they use up resources on him. Saban does no recruit around LSU or any other program. He addresses his team's needs and if a Louisiana player fits the need he recruits hi. He does not sign a " so so " player unless he thinks the player is much better than you described. No top program wastes one of its 25 scholarships for such nefarious purposes. Lower level programs may do this from tme to time as they have nothing to lose.

Many v Menard was the highlight game of the district back when I was playing. Not sure if they are still in the same district anymore.

It's Many, Menard, Bunkie, Avoyelles, Lakeview, Winnfield and Red River in that district. Many and Menard have been the top two teams in district for a while now.
