Wisconsin? Taylor or Wyatt Walker?

Walker likely to Wisconsin

I mentioned that we would get a top player in next few weeks . You beat me to it. Taylor will sign in next few weeks Obviously didn't want to say to much until done deal. Well pretty much a done deal from what I heard also .
Excellent vibes on Taylor, with the exception that he says he's going to keep taking visits.
It looks like there was never an enormous amount of mutual interest between LSU and Wyatt Walker beyond a few preliminary conversations. The guy LSU appears most interested in is Javan White from Oral Roberts, who like Walker has two years remaining. White is supposed to be here next weekend.
Taylor and White look like the most likely additions. If they can somehow pull Emmitt Matthews to go with them it's evidence this guy is the messiah of LSU basketball.

Don't see Matthews As you said we may get investigated if he comes here. Lol

Man if we get Taylor we will be absolutely loaded with talent. Sign Matthews and holy shite.
Would like to get a shooting guard, 4 year type player to finish it out. Would love a kid with a dagger from deep.

I doubt we’d sign another wing if we get Taylor. Kind of redundant at that point. Wade wants another post and a 2 guard. I bet we end up with Javan White (10.5 PPG/9.0 RPG at ORU) who is supposed to visit this weekend and Don Coleman (12.4 PPG at Cal) who will visit after class raps for him on May 11th.

Javan White would be a good fit for this team. If Taylor signs it will give us an excellent three-point shooter.
I thought Wade wanted to find another big to redshirt as he did with Bigby-Williams. Courtese Cooper of Triton fits that need.

Emmitt Mathews Jr is currently pounding a recent offer he received from Arizona. LSU still has a chance however Arizona is his clear favorite.

Cooper would also make sense, but he's a bit more of a developmental guy than White. White is 6-10 and 230 now; Cooper's 6-9 and 205 if he's even that. He can get rebounds and block shots, though, so he definitely gives you something to work with.
If you took, say, Cooper and James Banks to go with Taylor it would make a lot of sense.

Last off season proved that Wade's program works. Both Reath and Epps benefitted physically from the weight room.
Cooper is a freshman with three years eligibility remaining. He and other transfers are not likely to take minutes away from Bigby-Williams, Reid, Williams and Days this season. Cooper would be doing the same thing this season that Bigby-Williams did last year. Wade has already suggested that one of the three available scholarships would go to someone like that. By Cooper's junior year he could easily be up to 230 pounds, where White is today. How many years of eligibility does Banks have? Do you envision him making a contribution this year?
Or will he have the Bigby-Williams "scholarship?"

Personally, I like guys like Taylor and White, multiple years left but also ready to go right now. Providing quality depth right away to a team that could do some serious damage while probably seeing an increased role in the 2nd and final year here.
Take those 2 then save the last spot for a top notch transfer that may have to sit or freshman you can develop.
I'd love to have 12 eligible and ready to go guys going into next season:
C Bigby-Williams
C/F White
F Reid
F Williams
F Days
F Sims
F Rachal
F Taylor
G Edwards
G Smart
G Mays
G Waters
Put that 13th spot to a guard or shooting small forward of some kind

Good God, that is one hell of a lineup with awesome frontline talent, quality depth, and a great mixture of experience/leadership and youth. Plus it has the coaching staff to go with it.
Can November please get here soon?!

I highly recommend anyone who has not seen tape of Marlon Taylor to go watch this guy. I don't know how good a defender he is on the perimeter, but he is a very good athlete and can get above the rim and get there quick. IMO he is a guy Wade can develop into a very valuable piece to the puzzle. Don't know if he has been offered by Wade, but I'd love to see him wearing LSU colors next season.

Taylor would only add to the return of the Dunk Mob next year.
Can’t wait.
