This isn't a blow to O's recruiting. This decommit was because O doesn't wan't the recruit. He could have easily kept the commitment if he wanted it.

What's scary is O is probably thinking the last guy got fired for not changing the Offense so he's going to make sure that his offense is the complete opposite. I do not believe it is in our best interest to attempt to be some Texas Tech air raid bullshite. We were a competent QB and some creativity away from championships already.

My prediction O continues to get the recruits, he just doesn't know what to do with them because he wants to get too fancy with the offense to not make the mistakes of the previous guy.

We offer a 5* QB in November, who's committed to another school and is an early enrollee...just for giggles?

I hope you all are right, but it's hard to have much faith after how this past week has transpired.

If we don't get Tua, this is all one big clusterfrick.

He enrolls in 10 days and has been committed to bama since May.

He's not coming here

Me too. It is so refreshing to see a kid with high character in recruiting nowadays, simply opposite to those attention whores.

Its funny because at this time last year Felipe Franks wasn't getting all this love for his decision to go elsewhere.

Kiffin could come here, and that would have still applied without a Tua offer.

2015: Chad Kelly (Ole Miss)
2014: Chad Kelly (Ole Miss), Cardale Jones (Ohio State)
2013: Trevor Knight (Oklahoma)
2012: Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M)

These are the Quarterbacks that have beaten bama in the past 4 seasons. They all have something in common.

Kind of astonishing this many people would be upset about losing a QB heavily wanted by Les Miles and Cam Cameron....

The other aspect to this, that I am hearing from REC is that Tua was not even recruited by Kiffin, and he has had little to do with him. That may not directly mean that Tua is not deciding to go to LSU, but he has been committed to early enrollee at Bama, and we will see this Spring what happens. Don't know the whole story with this kid who decommitted, but sounds like he is getting antsy because the coaching staff is deciding to change schemes, which is OK. Better to find out now. My guess is that if Kiffin does not go to a HC job somewhere and does come to LSU, he might be interested in getting the kid who left Bama, Barnett, who will be eligible to play next year, and was a highly recruited QB.
This off season is shaping up to be as epic as the last.
