pretty bold statement considering Reed with the Biletnikoff award
Josh Reed was great at running routes and reading defenders. Thats what made him special. If we could get another receiver like that to compliment what we have, look out.

Not really a good comparison.

I dont understand how u can compare a barely 5'11 185 receiver to a 6'2 220 guy (I know he bulked up) and say Jarvis and Larry Foster isnt a good comparison? why dont u compare him to Randy Moss for christ sake..Landry is a Foster clone, and thats a good thing cause he (Foster) was a hell of a player.

Also, My offenses comparison had to do with if foster had played for a spread type, which in those days wasnt the norm. Not Bryant, at Lufkin.

What makes Jarvis Landry so special is how physical he is.

He does it all. He isn't all that imposing..or even all that fast, really..but he is one ridiculous wide receiver

I don't know why people keep saying this kid is not very fast. He may not possess elite track speed but he is very football fast. I am a huge Fobbs fan, and believe Fobbs would be a great pick up for LSU. But, I watched the Lutcher/Huntington game and Landry speed is very comparable to Fobbs (4.45). Fobbs seemed to have a better first step, but I thought Landry looked faster. BTW, I'm a bigger Landry fan now, as mentioned before, he definitely has the IT factor.
Oh yea, he reminds me of Reggie Wayne, but he plays with so much reckless abandon, I think he may be more comparable to a Hines Ward.

Jarvis Landry is about as good as any that I have ever witnessed.

Hopefully, he comes to LSU and isn't under-used like some of the other weapons we've had.

Maybe they'll line him up at DE.

No he's not. Sorry, but a high school junior is not better than the best WR in SEC history. The Lutcher hype machine is getting ridiculous. Best team in the state, best players ever...42-0 Neville. To say he's better than Josh Reed is ridiculous.
