This hurts, but I believe that Aranda will find a way. I'm sold on his ability to mold a Defense
What about his ability to recruit?

To hell with them then... You offer every kid you think fits your scheme and let the cards fall where they may. Go hard after the. Best and keep in contact with all others. That's the way Orgeron will do it and if those kids don't understand then see ya later. Eventually they will get it and if they really want to play here they will commit bf the others. You put the pressure on them to come play defense for the best, we have Aranda which gives LSU the upper hand IMO. Go get em

Closer to home would be my guess.

There is too much that will happen between now and signing day. Still lots of great players, but LSU fans seem to think we have a shortage of LB's we have guys who have been in line for 1-3 years waiting their turn. I can guarantee you guys that the only LB's that will play ahead of the ones we currently have, even on the depth chart are guys who are ranked very highly, and this year there just aren't a ton of awesome LB's. The highest ranked true OLB is Barron Browning(Ohio State commit) ranked 29th. There is one guy Jaelan Phillips is listed as an OLB, but at 6'5" 241 lbs. he is projected to play DE not OLB, which could be the same if UCLA plays a 3-4 D.
Aranda knows what he is doing.
Aranda knows what he is doing.

We just need Aranda to be a closer. Hell, he got us a surprise commit from Rice, even if it didn't stick, because of the way he read and treated the kid.
Remember that O pushed all the official visits until after the season because of the coaching change, and that most of the visits we had before the dead period were focused on the EEs. We will see if Aranda can close on some guys soon enough. Let's all reserve judgement until then.

Hell read the link concerning our recruiting this year. We did but all our eggs into 2(LB) and we screwed yhe pooch and several other top LB man we have to offer and get kids committed. If they fit into or could be molded into Aranda's system man go get them and stop worrying if the higher rated guy gets offended, we want players that want to be coached. I noticed on this board if you state your opinion and if it's unpopular u get downvoted quickly but the true logical fans will reply and share their opinion not just downvote. Check out the article

It's not about offending higher ranked targets. It's about not being able to take the higher ranked commits because your class is full from guys who aren't as good. Every single top school extends commitable and non-commitable offers to kids. You simply can not extend 150 committable offer out to high school seniors. It doesn't work that way.
