Not seeing many people crap on Rice, which is good. I'm about 99% positive he informed our staff before Christmas that his decision was an emotional one that he regretted. So, he did not really lead us on. It just became official today. Good luck to the kid. Hope UGA stomps a hole in Florida for a long time.

White and Divinity gonna hold down the starting ILB spots for the next 2-3 years. We're good and will always be as long Aranda is here! He won't put anyone in positions they can't succeed in, if that means we have to go 3-4, 4-3, 4-2-5, etc..

Rice = Tigerbait!

Yeah I have no clue why LSU cooled on Levi Jones at all. We need LBs very very badly, and every time I've seen Lei Jones play or see him on film, he has definitely impressed me. Absolutely makes no sense to me.

Serious question, how many of our offers went out only recently?

Maybe a couple? The same way it is for every single school. If you miss on targets, you make other offers.

There isn't a disagreement on philosophy. You suggest we need to cast a wide net like Bama does. I agree with that assessment. The disagreement comes that we do actually cast as wide a net as Bama does, and on LBs this year, we cast an even wider one. You just assumed that we weren't recruiting very many guys at LB.

Not getting top LBs with Aranda as the coach is just as bewildering to me as continuing to get top notch WRs under Miles.

Same thing was said when we had Chavis and still couldn't bring in top end lbers talent...30 for 30 needs to be done on this in the future.

I want answers..I want the truth

As am I. When I was at LSU there were four or five other people I met that were Villa fans.

Wtf. Why can't we land any lb's. makes no sense.

You are correct about this in that we have an awesome situation for good lb's at LSU right now. We should be turning THEM away with the we don't have room statement.

I can only hope that this means we are about to get a couple of good ones and that started Rice to flippin'!

Wonder if the Craig to ducks talk has anything to do with it. I think Craig was the one recruiting him. Just wondering

Numbers game. In a 3-4 def, u essentially have 2 LB's & 2 pass rush DE's

In a 4-3, u can compete for 3 spots instead of 2. Def want to get guys who aren't afraid of competition, cuz u have to be a savage to play MLB in a 3-4.

Then again, if your good enough, you'll find a way onto the field in nickel packages, etc I wouldn't worry too much. Recruiting DE's in Aranda's defense is basically recruiting OLB's

Doesn't matter Kirby will tank the program by year three. UGA looked like SHITE this year and even though they won their bowl they didn't look great. McElwain, Muschamp and Smart will all be unemployed HC's in 3 or 4 years.

Have a question, just asking -- since Rice was an Early Enrollee -- could it be that we have someone returning that the staff thought was leaving -- therefore do not have the room for this EE....and he decided to go elsewhere as EE?
