i'm confident enough to say I'm proud to warrant a hug from a saint like Lewis Cook......you say I got a bad reputation, well, that's just too bad....players seem to like me and that's what I'm about - promoting players....I don't care about feeding some coach's ego.....so you can tell Jay Roth to kiss my arse while you're at it....

That's a fringe benefit of working for free, Lester Earl...I don't care about pleasing people, although I have friends whose respect I treasure....

You ain't one of them.....

don't think so ...State fans see it as a trophy acquisition and an LSU/Tiger Rag screw up...time will tell just how good or bad that was for each team.

We can't keep all the great apples off the LA tree every year.......Miss St is getting a good one.......just so happens that we have about 30 of them on our roster with his ability!

Agreed. We're loaded and that worked to State's benefit. Good for them and for him.

The last RB that LSU passed on in thinking he should be a LB is the starting RB for the Super Bowl champions.

I saw MC play a couple of games last year. Runs a little stiff and upright, but a bruiser with good speed. Becomes a real pain in the arse in the late 3rd and 4th quarters. Will be great at MSU. Still would've loved to see him play LB!!

What? Thats some crazy revisionist history. LSU was going to give Brandon Jacobs a shot at RB BOTH times they recruited him.

It was fan and "expert" speculation that he would be moved to LB, DE, or other at some point at LSU.

Burke Hayes of Scout sees it:
quote:

Final Analysis—Can anyone say Eric Dickerson? Mississippi State has garnered the pledge of what many are saying is the jewel of the '09 RBs. He is physically the most college-ready RB in this year’s class and will make an immediate impact. A true 30-35 carry-a-game back, look for Conner to become a household name very soon and to be one for years to come.

In all honesty though, MC doesnt fit in with Crowton's offense. That;s the only reason i can think of why he wasnt offered as a RB

I'm prejudiced...I'm lucky enough to know the young man...eveyone that didn't get him just screwed up...Croom won't be able to sleep tonight....an' in a few years, some other coaches won't be able to sleep on Fridays either...

So that explains it.........No doubt he is a player but he aint eric dickerson, adrian peterson, or even Keiland Williams. I like the kid but I promise I will sleep good tonight with the running backs we got and so will Les.
