Same thing Nuss did
Not quite. Nuss opted out of a bowl game with half a roster after discussing with the coaches. This is opting out a shot to start in season against the coaches will. Also Nuss wanted to play, but the NCAA refused to grant a waiver.

Again calling out yourself. If you were ok with Jayden having no competition why are you so hell bent Nuss needs some?

Nobody is scared except you. Scared that Nuss will start and play well. Which is honestly pathetic.

Ha! As a Nc State alum who also enjoys LSU football, trust the guy who mentioned family drama. I don’t love disparaging decent kids, and things were mostly fine at NC State until they weren’t but he’s probably right on this one. After taking over for a struggling transfer QB in B. Armstrong, and playing marginally at best this season, the team started to find its footing yet after 4 games he up and quit on the team. From there, vailed social media messages of him leaving, staying, and justification for quitting on the team flowed from his camp the rest of the year.
Thankfully the team galvanized and won out in his absence. Its widely understood that the team helped him pack up his s*** and he was encouraged to go. I suppose you’ll take a little drama for a great player but he was not very good, and considering the type of QB play LSU has come to expect from the last couple transfers, this isnt your guy. He’a not a great runner, and his accuracy and decision making was inconsistent. I had a similar post back when LSU hired Matt Canada who was previously at NC State and was chastised because of all the positive “buzz” around him. Buyer beware here, once again!

Don't say that. The delulu stans around here will think he's gonna win a heisman.

You’re still arguing the same stupid arse point you’ve been arguing.
Nuss was Daniel’s competition.
Nuss needs competition.
We will bring in a transfer

No, you're arguing the stupid arse point you think you can actually contest rather than what I've actually said. I agree Nuss was Daniel's competition. Those who think Nuss sucks openly say there was no competition so they're hypocrites. Do you disagree with that?
As far as a transfer I don't think one is being brought in for competition purposes. I also think the competition will be mostly a formality as it was with Jayden.
Posted on 12/11/23 at 3:05 pm to TigerKnights
That’s what you keep missing.
Jayden’s competition vs Nuss and Brennan was not a formality. Jayden won. Earned, not given
I’m not sure who you’re reading saying Nuss sucks. He’s got a cannon, and like most gunslingers, may be prone to overthrows/interceptions. This is a critique, not saying he sucks.
When a transfer is brought in, it WILL be a competition. Whoever is best will come out our starter.
Embrace competition, that’s when the best of the best emerge

Jeez man.

Kinda like the Arizona St locker room was clowning on JD5 and said I quote by one idiot “he ain’t that good anyway” Oh how did that turn out.

MJ Morris NC State transfer Qb
Dad shopped him around in middle and high school. Was a pain in the arse to the coaches making demands. At NCST he refused to play more than four games so he could save his redshirt.
If this is true, than why would he come to LSU as a backup?

I don’t think he’d be coming just to be a backup. They’re not gonna guarantee him the starting job, but they’re also not gonna guarantee it to Nuss and not give this guy the chance to win the job. That would be retarded. Kelly talks about how important transparency is with all the players, but specifically the QBs. I think they want Nuss to win the job.
But they’re gonna tell him he’s gonna have to actually go out and do it. If Sloan puts together a plan for him similar to Jayden’s and Nuss puts in the work, he should win it. And they’ll likely tell Morris that Nuss has the edge currently being older and having been in the system for 2 years. But they’re not gonna completely close the door on him winning the job before they even begin practicing. They’ll tell him he has a chance to win it if he puts in the work and emerges the winner, though he may be behind currently.
As to why he’d come without a guarantee to start, the fact that he was so adamant about redshirting means he still has 3 years of eligibility and is willing to stay in school 5 years if that’s what it takes to develop him into an NFL QB. And what better place right now to get developed than LSU. He’s not gonna pout if he’s Nuss’s backup. He’s gonna go to work and be prepared in case Nuss goes down and he gets an opportunity. Otherwise, the redshirt and the transfer don’t make any sense.
***all this is based on the hypothetical that he does wind up here. I have no idea.***
This is one of the big advantages of having 2 QBs winning the Heisman in 5 seasons. Guys with long-term NFL aspirations and multiple years of eligibility will be willing to sit just so they can be developed by LSU’s staff. Kelly and crew have to use their leverage to kill it. It there is a balance that the transparency will help with. You want to files the beat QB possible, whoever that is. But another huge goal is to not having a buffer between Collins and Hurley if the starter goes down. You grab a guy that sends Nuss to the portal and you’re in the same position of having to play Collins if whoever you bring in tears an ACL. 2 goals: 1) have the best possible QB starting for LSU in ‘24. I think that’s likely Nuss. 2) having 4 scholarship guys in the QB room, one with experience between the starter and Collins.

Predictions for Maryland starting to come in. He must be getting ready to commit.

That would be a good offense for him to go to.
Plus they are probably give him aa nice payday.

The amount of people saying "We might lose Nuss", are numerous.

TigerKnights
Face it, Nuss has yet to prove anything. That doesn't mean he can't be great, but it does mean that it would be foolish in this era of CFB to not bring in competition to get the best result. Ole Miss did it with Jaxson Dart, a prior year starter. Before Daniels even left ASU, i wanted us to go after Dillon Gabriel. After back to back great seasons, he is now headed off to Oregon for a 6th year. We had a senior Brennan coming back from injury and a redshirt freshman in Nuss. None of that matters. I want the best for LSU.

No, they obviously aren't. Do you really think its clever to keep saying the "if they leave it couldn't be any other factor except fear of competition"? Are you Matt Moscona? That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. We might lose Nuss if they bring in someone but it won't be due to fear of competition.

While I knew 100% what I was talking about
You didn't and don't. People judged Daniels based on his on-field performance. Get over it.

Nuss has proven plenty. You don't want what's best for LSU. You want Nuss to fail or never start. It's pathetic and obvious. You seriously must get all your opinions from Moscona. You and he will have the exact opposite opinion regarding Underwood should he stupidly decide to come here.
quote:
Face it, Nuss has yet to prove anything. That doesn't mean he can't be great
Kindly shove it up your arse. If you think he's trash say it and be a man. Don't hedge your bets so you can later claim you never said he couldn't be great.
