I'm puzzled by the changes in the CBs. Especially LSU and Kansas losing ground. That is exactly opposite of what i'm hearing. From a business perspective going to MSU would not be a good choice. At best they would make the NIT. A one and done needs TV exposure on the big stage. Personally i think if we don't get him, it will be Kansas. He has 3 weeks until NSD. He has 3 all star games left. No way he gets his officials in. He has to have a good idea where he is going by now. I'm just not buying the MSU late charge. I'm still hearing he wants to play at LSU with Blackney and Simmons and it's a done deal. I'm convinced he is ours until I see concrete evidence to the contrary.

Playing time is the only thing that scares me. Obviously he plays a bunch and likely starts, but he's got Quarterman, Blakeney, Patterson, and Gray to compete with for minutes between 2 positions. Add in the fact that we have Simmons who demands the ball and it starts getting more difficult to showcase your abilities. Team success would be much better than Moo St, but he's a one and done guy and I doubt that is more important than being the #1 option each game. hole we get him, but I never felt all that great about it

But he wants to prove he's an NBA point guard, so sharing the ball should be what he wants to do. Everyone knows he'll be able to score in college, but he needs to prove he can be a distributor. If he goes to State, it'll be just like high school. He'll be the first, second, and third options.

I don't see it. Howland will develop winning teams, but he likes players there for four years. Have seen 2016 NBA mock drafts that have Simmons and Malik in the top 3.

While we are talking about 18 year old kids, I think it would be a really bad move if he went to MSU. If he did, I don't think it would be because someone is paying him money. He must know that as a lottery pick he doesn't need an under the table $200K now and I don't think he's the type of kid who would take an illegal payment anyway. That leaves only family loyalty and legacy possibly swinging him to MSU. I just don't see that happening in this case unless he really doesn't care about his one year in college. That's possible but I think it is much more likely he'll want to go with a team he thinks will make a splash in the tourney and that leaves LSU, Kansas and possibly UK. Of those 3, I like LSU.
