He should always recruit at least 50% LA. This kid was a top 12 in the state, a must recruit.

Why not recruit the best players regardless of what state they live in?

7 of 18 is still low instate recruits.

Who would from out of state would you like to replace with an in state guy?

I can only think of MAYBE one or two guys that I would even consider.

Face it, LSU is a national program now and will recruit the entire nation while its on top.

I will take a more talented out of state guy over a less talented in state guy every single time.

Not to mention, of that tally of 7/18, you are not including guys like Rueben Randle, Bark Mingo, and possibly Alex Singleton that will be coming from in state.

Maybe even a LB in Lamin Barrow or Tahj Jones.

Relax about the instate/out of state thing.

You people that are so worried about having a certain ratio of La. players should offer to do the tutoring necessary to get them qualified...

WOW I can't believe this is still going. I let it go last night and I'm over it now. I think if he was going to make the grades that Miles and the boys would have got him, but it must not have looked good. I can't see passing on a kid like this so must be something more to it.

I don't know about that. IMO Les is starting to slip, either that or his decision making is not what we all thought it was.

Please.....elaborate.

4-0 ranked #'s 2, 3, or 4 considering what polls you look at, and defending national champions.

He's starting to slip?

Lets see, he goes out and gets one of the best Special Teams Coaches in College Football. Goes to Auburn, executes an onside kick to prefection. Has a RSF QB come back in an hostile envionment down 14-3. Wins the NC last year. In the top 5 this year. If thats slipping, I hope he keeps slipping. While others, UGA, Fla, USC, etc. are slipping, Les has this program on solid ground.

If Les is that great at recruiting why can't he get Elway to come forward in Time and then join last year and persuade the other HOFs to do the same. PFFFTTT He is useless.

This sounds ridiculous doesn't it - that is exactly how all this ranting sounds. It would be valid if he had a bad track record at LSU or if he went all Mike Gundy on Mcknight or Randle. Sometimes it seems as though rantards are projecting a deliberate sense of failure onto Les for whatever reason.

P.S. Not a reply to LSUDad - just clicked reply to post - we need a separate post button

PnGtiger81 with the BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Nicely done.

I respect the knowledge of female friends around here........for the most part. I'm from Iowa and was telling my dad how impressively knowledgeable the girls are about the football team and football in general here. He replied that he could say the same thing about Nebraska girls (he's a Husker fan). And I said "well except the girls in Louisiana are actually cute too. sorry, just had to tell that story.

Does anyone think DS committed to Bama was an insurance policy in the event he gets hurt this year? You know like what McFarland was talking about with Texas.
And NO Miles is not slipping you must be sipping
